1 Samuel 4:3 'Let us bring back the ark of the covenant of the LORD!'

The Ark of the Covenant represented the presence of God to the nation of Israel. They knew that without His presence in their lives they were lost. They did everything in their power to make sure His presence was with them.They carried the ark wherever they went. You and I cannot do without the Lord and His presence in our daily lives. Once we accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and Saviour, His presence dwells within us. We are the temple of the Holy Spirit.

Jesus said, “Repent, for the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand” (Matthew 4:17). Jesus called people to repent before He called them to believe! To repent is to grieve over one’s sin, to grieve over wounding Christ by their sin, and then turning away from their wicked ways. The Bible says in 2 Corinthians 7:10, “Godly sorrow brings repentance that leads to salvation and leaves no regret.” Let us not be casual about sin. Would you pray with me that God would give us truly repentant hearts?

“How many times have I prayed…

“Lord, why do You keep answering my prayers when I haven’t always been faithful?”

I’ve had moments when I was distant.

-Moments when I doubted.

-Moments when I put other things before You.

-Moments when my prayers became inconsistent, but Your love never did.

Yet every time I came back, You never pushed me away.

Instead, You welcomed me with grace.

-You carried me when I was weak.

-You provided when I had nothing.

-You forgave me when I knew I didn’t deserve it.

That’s when I realized…

God doesn’t answer my prayers because I have been perfect.

He answers because He is FAITHFUL…

And every answered prayer reminds me that my relationship with Him has never been built on my goodness—it has always been built on His grace.

So today, my prayer is simple:

“Lord, help me to be as faithful to You as You have always been to me.” 🙏😇
