Walks With My Father

“Sometimes you’ll look around and feel completely outnumbered.

Problems on every side. Voices telling you to quit. Fear whispering that there’s no way you’re getting through this.

But being surrounded doesn’t mean you’re defeated.

The Lion doesn’t need to roar. He knows who He is.

And when the Lord stands with you, the number standing against you doesn’t determine the outcome.

Stand your ground. Keep your faith. You are never outnumbered when God is on your side. 🦁🌙

“I wonder how many of us have spent years looking at ourselves and seeing only what isn’t finished yet.

The healing that took longer than we hoped. The habits we’re still trying to break. The fears we still wrestle with. The parts of our story we thought would look different by now.

Am I right?

It’s so easy to call ourselves failures when we focus on everything that’s still under construction.

But what if we’re reading the story too early?

What if the unfinished parts aren’t proof that we’ve failed at all?

Philippians 1:6 says that God began a good work in us and will carry it through to completion. Not might. Not hopefully. Will.

Maybe you’re not behind.

Maybe you’re not broken.

Maybe you’re not failing.

Maybe you’re just unfinished.

This is one of the most personal posts I’ve written in a while, and if you’ve ever been disappointed in yourself for not being further along by now, I think you’ll see a little of your own story in it.”
