If you want to copy something from paper to an open weave fabric like burlap you can use tulle or mesh to transfer your design.

You may want to make a copy of your design first if you don’t want to ruin your original.

1. Place your tulle over your paper. You can use masking tape or heavy objects to keep it tight. Copy your design with a permanent marker. Be cautious of ink splatter.

2. Place your tulle over your burlap and trace it again. Make sure you protect your surface from the marker with paper or a drop cloth.
