I’m thinking of stuffing the little pockets that form inside the cloth with polyfil to get a quilt-like effect but im gonna test that with the next sampler! will update as that progresses :D

Most recent progress pic of my glorious loon sweater. It’s a little old, it has sleeves now!

Made quilted squares using secondhand scraps and this tutorial, then cut them into circles, layered them to make external pockets, and made a purse. The external pockets are held together with hidden velcro strips, and the straps are two strips of fabric that can be ties and adjusted to different lengths. This is yet another late birthday present for a friend.

This took much longer than usual to knit -- I don't know if I was just spending less time knitting, or if it was the complex intarsia (the waves involved 10+ balls of yarn 😭). I'm really happy with it, it was a lot of fun to knit, and I can't wait to wear it (in a few months time...)
