did i tell you guys i failed at being sexually harassed at work today?
okay so, guy at work, who i find out afterwards is famous at this place for being a sex pest, comes up and starts with what i also learn is his favorite opener to conversations where he’s going to be a sex pest, namely: “Do you know where the term ‘blow job’ comes from?”

rest in peace eryka caldwell. she was a 41 year old black trans woman stabbed to death by her boyfriend. she had so much life left and yet it was cut short by this man. i hope the world can be better for trans women of color (especially black trans women), sooner rather than later.

I highly recommend Forvo.com, the website where native speakers of a language contribute their time and voices to read words and names in their own language. It is a fantastic way to expand your world, open up your ears, and it's way more likely to nab a hit than just googling.

Nowadays my fandom experience is going to the big grocery store for big groceries (the source material) and occasionally stopping by local small businesses for a treat or trinket (fanartists and fanfic authors) before going home (me and maybe 2 other people at most)
