not og dom dennis anon, but inspired by the idea. i do think dennis could be mean, but only specifically if jack needed it. he's such a service/pleasure dom to me that i could see him getting meaner if if genuinely helped jack. the clearest scenario i see here is him punishing jack not because he thinks jack deserves punishment, but because jack thinks jack deserves punishment and will be infinitely meaner to himself than dennis could ever be to him.
i.e. jack loses a patient that he feels is his fault, and no amount of rational reminders that he did every feasible medical intervention, that nobody could have saved them, etc are helping. he's beyond comforting- gentle dom dennis cannot get him out of his head because of the intensity of his guilt. instead of letting jack self flagellate for days, dennis will put him over his knee and give him enough of a spanking that jack can finally let go of that guilt. his dom has said his punishment is over, that he's served his penance and it's done and in the past now, so that's beyond his decisions and it's not his concern now.

the yoga thing is so interesting. it’s a very creative punishment that aligns with their characters v well. there’s also an opportunity there for dennis to demonstrate a forethought and understanding of jack’s disability in whatever pose he chooses. like something that isolates the core/arms because dennis isn’t about to make jack’s lower body hurt more than it does. one of the reasons i love jack ships 8/ all the possibilities for consideration and creativity.
and yes i love the aftercare being dennis making jack feel so good. dennis hurting jack so jack can ultimately feel better is so peak. this is very robby in no pain, no gain (except jack actually kinda likes inflicting the pain lol). a self forgiveness ritual is always going to be very interesting for any of the pitt characters because they shoulder so many life and death decisions and self flagellate about them.
also the dom getting aftercare for this is nice too. like dennis winding down from the heavier scene with a mutual pleasure that’s less “in-role” if that makes sense. the bdsm scene is followed with a very vanilla, sappy sex.
