Why was their father so certain? Well because hes a prophet as well AND, because Yusuf had a vision when he was young. His father understood it's meaning and never spoke of it after.

Yusuf had visions/prophetic dreams, and he could also interpret some of them. He could easily discern their meaning.

For thirty years, Yusuf was considered dead by his family and brothers, but his father hoped for his return any day. Then came the event that prompted Yusuf's brothers to seek help from Egypt.

Prophet Yusuf had attained a high

position at the time. He was closer to the minister. ( After he was poisoned for many years because he refused to have a relationship with the king's wife —known in Persian culture as Zuleikha, although there is no evidence for this name— she liked him. He didn't.)

When he met his siblings, Yusuf recognized them and devised a simple plan to keep his younger brother, Benjamin, with him in the palace until his parents and brothers come togather to take him back.

Thus, Yusuf's father knew that he was not dead, that he was alive, and that the visions had indeed come true. They reunited together in Egypt.

There's another interesting point that makes me connect him to Yusuf Al Kaysani: the end. The Prophet Yusuf has no recorded date of death, no memory of him, he never married, he never had a relationship with anyone, and he showed no interest in women. Whatever you call it, The truth behind the story remains unchanged: he had no interest in women, and he vanished completely from history and even Islamic culture After meeting his father and ascending him to the throne. It was as if he had simply evaporated.

Some stories say he died immediately afterward, his coffin sankinto the Nile river, or the sea. but based on my basic historical and in-depth religious studies, I didn't find any clear, strong evidence for that.

All to say, The choice of the name Yusuf ibn Ibrahim is truly amazing. I loved it when I first learned about it. It's well known in Islamic cultures that parents name their most beautiful son Yusuf after the prophet, and that alone makes me smile. Pretty Yusuf!!

There are several similarities: the name, of course. The brothers who betrayed him; Booker. He remained dead in the eyes of his people, then returned to life. Yusuf' Immortality. His lack of interest in women, then his disappearance from the records of history or culture, and no one knows whether he's dead or alive. Also teb coffin into the sea.

So many things that makes Joe a very special character to me. He really is, whish i know more about him.
