Bonus doodles under the cut!

Yayayayay I love making and talking about cat designs for characters! (When I get into a new thing I make a list in my notes app of what kind of cats I think they'd be).Cat genetics and breeds is one of my special interests.

I have like, a bunch of ideas for different guys but I drew three guys w/ cat designs that I will explain.

Starscream is a Chimera (which happens when two fetuses with different genomes fuse in the womb) (I did this bc it best captures the red and gray of starscream, and the shape of her weird chest things). Screamer's a combination of a shorthaired blue mink point, and a longhaired red tabby.

Megatron is a large black silver ticked tabby (because it has both the necessary gray, and the black included in some designs). The scarred short tail is inspired by @/madamadamiu's lost light cat shelter au.

Bumblebee is a golden mackerel tabby with white paws and muzzle. I also drew him with short legs like the Munchkin breed has. (Long tangent: the reason Munchkin cats have short legs is because they have a form of dwarfism that also causes issues with their joints and spine, causing chronic pain. I don't approve of the breeding of Munchkins because of this. However, I drew Bumblebee this way he is not a real cat, and because I like to headcanon him with chronic pain.)
