Guys sertanly do have a rather peculiar idea of reconciliation
some quick meme while I have nothing else to post. I'm almost done with my Sevika redesign but in my alt!s2 she gets to have two different prosthetic arms one after another and I wanted to post them both but so far I've only designed the first one and still got almost no ideas about visualizing the second one. Im actually pretty bad at designing mechanical stuff even though I like it. I'll think about it some more, will probably post only the first version if I wont come up with anything soon enough

Photobashing Vi's ep9/epilogue design and Maddie's firelight undercover outfit for alt!S2
I wasn't even sure if I wanted to post Vi's outfit, but I decided to show it along with Maddie's outfit concepts because no one gaf about Maddie and posts with her alone won't be seen, and because i have nothing else to post now.
Anyway, what can I say here.
I know that Vi's S1 outfit is already based on her LoL outfit, but i'd say that was quite subtle if you ask me, and since I decided to more or less tie the ending of my rewriting to LoL canon, I though it might be worth showing the characters wearing something actually similar to their canon looks during the ep9, or at least in a short epilogue in its finale.
Not much to tell about Maddie though; I tried to keep her outfit simple and not too personalized. It also has red, blue, and green tones, hinting at her three roles as a Noxian agent, enforcer, and firelight.
This one has two variations: without the jacket and with it. Maddie doesn't wear it at first, but in the the end of the ep5 she injured her arm in a fight, so she put on a jacket to avoid raising suspicion
In the ep8 of alt!S2 Dictator Kiramman lost the battle and nearly lost her girlfriend whom she took for granted, and suddenly remembered that hurting people is actually not good
(still better then Caitlyn in real season 2)
(and realistically, getting brain damaged is the only reason Vi would ever stay by her side after everything she's done)
In my rewriting Maddie spied and influenced not only enforcers but also Firelights to fuel conflict between the two cities from both sides at the same time.
But by the time of the final battle, she no longer needs to maintain her Undercity cover, so she can afford this tiny ragebaiting smile
Viktor and Sky act2 Zaun designs for my alt!S2 fic
(Their emo phase lowkey)
(Quite an unexpected work for me, I was planning to design other characters, but somehow found myself here.)
After an accident and a conflict with Jayce at the end of act1, Viktor leaves Piltover and Sky follows him to support him and because she pretty much has nowhere else to go in her robotic body.
They collaborate with Singed and Sevika to continue their research and make a living, and settle down in a shimmer factory that was raided by Jayce and Vi in the first season.
As time passes, Sky's new artificial body is exposed to hexcore energy and becomes more magically organic than mechanical. She gets more human, but she feels worse, because what at first seemed like an improvement turns out to be a core slowly corrupting her body and soul.
Viktor, by contrast, looks healthier and full of life. He made a dramatic lifestyle change, curing his diseases with hexcore magic and moving to Zaun. It probably is the peak of his both physical and mental state, not counting his doubts about the illegal activities Singed and Sevika are pushing onto him and his devastating resentments against Jayce.
Him and Sky work and basically live together for months, complement and assist each other, and their outfits match but retain each other's unique style. Viktor's outfit is obviously inspired by his "prototype" skin, while Sky's by her journal and outfit from the first season.

Not much to post lately, I've ran out of edits and redesigns and posting without them sucks
(But at least I've got a comment on my fic today. Cheers)
I think I could at least post some fan facts about my rewriting. Even year after i finished it there's still scenes and details that i sincerely enjoy about my own writing.
Or i could also tell something about Jayce. He's mostly pushed by decisions other charcters make and sadly isnt most interesying guy in altS2 fic in general, but he's in fact my favorite character in the whole show, by the way, so its even lowkey impolite of me to never mention him.
If anyone is in the mood to be generous they could ask me a question about a character or storyline in altS2
You don't even have to read the fic (although I would be extremely grateful), answering questions on topic would just be an easy way to farm content so that the blog does not sit empty while I am too busy to do edits and big posts
Nothing much better to post today, just a little old edit of young Sky i made once to make her look more like her adult version.
I do like her child design, its cute and funny, she's my babygirl, but it seems a bit off that she doesnt really look as much like her grown self as some other charcaters. I often hear that people who didnt pay enough attention didnt even recognise her (i think its mostly due to her tiny screentime but still)
So i edited her a bit.
Maybe one day I'll also do the opposite version and make an edit to make her adult version look more like a younger one, whether I post it or not depends on whether it'll turn out looking any good.
I'm really attached to her adult design from season 1, but I also sometimes find it difficult to draw and remember because she doesn't exactly have any particularly prominent features. Her younger version has them though, like slightly different shape of eyes and lips, so it could possibly be an interesting experiment
Young Sevika design concepts for a flasback in act3 of my rewriting and a word about her arc without major spoilers
She doesn't have much screen time (though way more than the real S2 anyway lol) but there are several themes that are raised here. One of them is the topic of her abdication of taking responsibility and fear of working alone.
After Silco's death, Zaun turns away from Sevika like from a fallen chembaron's right hand, but she still has some connections, strength, and other things she could have used to earn credibility and influence. But she doesn't do it.
Instead, she's trying to find a replacement for Silco, hoping to keep the life as before his death. She doesn't believe she can be more than an executor, that she can be a leader herself, and she's looking for someone to lead her. She doesn't want to. Refuses to.
It scares her, because the last time she allowed herself to make a fateful decision (in the said flashback in act3) the consequences were catastrophic. Despite all her bravado, somewhere deep inside the guilt and insecurity in her competence haunted her till the end
The titles I gave to the episodes in my S2 rewriting and explanation
1. We had everything
2. Everything you do inspires me
3. In a pursuit of great
4. Heavy is the crown
5. You should pick a side
6. Dear friend across the river
7. We shared a vision
8. Our love
9. Breaking the cycle
Ep. 1 - We Had Everything
A line from 'what could have been' because S2ep1 depicts the aftermath of the S1 finale, where this fire song played; plus before Jinx's attack on council everuthing wasn't yet as awful as it got after.
Ep. 2 - Everything You Do Inspires Me
Sky's quote because this episode features her flashback and resurrection as a robot; and the overall theme of inspiration comes up from time to time: Hexsquad and Ekko were inspired by hextech wich would lead to them making mistakes; Caitlyn tries to integrate into the council; Sevika notices Viktor and hopes he can be useful to her in the future; Singed is intrigued by Viktor's discovery of a way to resurrect people.
Ep. 3 - In a Pursuit of Great
Viktor's quote is obviously about the finale of the act1, where he and Jayce certainly not just failed to do good but did something much worse. This resonates with other characters too: with Ekko, who accidentally ruined their experiments and his own; with poor Vi who failed in her attempt to solve all the problems on her own; and with Caitlyn sliding into her dictatorial arc.
Jinx, however, doesn't fit in: she's actually stopped trying to do anything good and her life has begun to improve in a way.
Act 1 translation is available on AO3, and Acts 2 and 3 are written but not translated (they will only be translated if we receive any feedback demonstrating reader interest in coments here or on ao3), so I'll cover them a bit more briefly.
Ep. 4 - Heavy is the Crown
Song name/quote.
Caitlyn woke up and chose violence; Jayce makes weapons for her to avoid going to prison after the act1 finale; Mel receives an email from the Black Rose; Viktor and Sky moved to Zaun and teamed up with Singed and Sevika; Jinx gained her fans.
Ep. 5 - Pick a Side
A quote from Hellfire, the song itself also plays in this episode. It reflects how everyone here is fighting against everyone, including themselves.
Viktor has moral dilemmas about illegal business; Maddie is busy with her spy activities on three fronts; Vi is being forced to be an enforcer + the fight at the end of the episode.
Ep. 6 - Dear Friend Across the River
Most of the storylines speed up as they transition from act2 to act3 but the title mostly refers to Jayce and Viktor whose conflict reaches the point of no return.
Ep. 7 - We Shared a Vision
Silco's quote is included because there are flashbacks to the youth of Vander, Silko, and Sevika (i've changed their backstory too); and because this series has many characters who shared a vision but eventually stopped, separated by a fight, death, both, or something else. Aka Silco and Vander, Silco and Sevika, Viktor and Jayce, Viktor and Sevika (they really didn't but she wanted to believe they did), Vi and Ekko, temporary Ekko and other firelights, and many others.
Ep. 8 - Our Love
The title of a song. It doesn't play in this episode, but the title suits the episode's themes; it's quite "romantic".
Mel and Jayce get married; Vi finally breaks and caitvi gets sent to hell where it belonds; and the timebomb temporary team up and fight off the enfoecers together.
Ep. 9 - Breaking the Cycle
Inspired by the original, but with a completely different meaning. It's not about abstract killing, but about the cycles of failed Zaun uprisings and cursed sibling duos.
The ending isn't good, rather bad or even static, because Zaun's victory would be too sweet, unrealistic and contrary to LoL canon (which I want to match at least a little).
But at the core of this ending, there's a grain of hope: some characters that are parallel to the characters from the past do not repeat the same mistakes, as if implying that sooner or later this all will end, perhaps.
Sevika came to Silco's office again, as she had been doing often recently, even more often than when he was alive. She'd lost count after the fifth time.
He was gone, but his scent still lingered. His stuff still layed here, though their number was dwindling with each passing day. Sevika didn't know where they were disappearing to, but she knew they wouldn't return, just like their owner, and she knew exactly whose fault it was.
Taking another step, she heard a creak and froze. Floorboard or ceiling beam? Sevika looked up — no visit here had been complete without this ritual — but saw nothing.
Jinx had been here. Perhaps she was here even now. Their paths would cross sooner or later; they had most likely already had in the past few days, but the girl had never openly announced her presence yet . Not out of fear, which she hardly ever felt. Neither from shame, otherwise she wouldn't have risked showing up here at all.
Was she waiting for Sevika to let her guard down, to expose herself to attack? May keep waiting then. Sevika would hardly be able to counter her in a fight without her prosthetic arm, but she wouldn't allow herself to be caught off guard. Not again. She even carried a mask with her, in case Jinx's sick head would get the idea to spray the Gray or some other nasty stuff here again.
Sevika got used to coming fully armed, sometimes even relatively sober, only to sit here for hours, vainly waiting for the corpse that was rotting in the river to return to his chair and give her another load of work.
But the risk was worth it, because outside the stuffy office, she felt even worse.
After staring at the ceiling with a bleary gaze for a moment, Sevika realized she didn't care if there’s anyone present. What should she do, anyway? Leave? No way.
As she approached the sofa and picked up a bottle, only to discover it was almost empty, she heard the sound of metal scraping against wood from above.
Slices of thin iron pipes, suspended on long braids that brushed against the scattered stuff, dragged along the wooden surface.
Against her better judgment, Sevika lowered her gaze to the floor and slowly, almost forcefully inhaled, as if trying to conceal the almost painful anger boiling within her. She had decided, on principle, to kill the girl herself, but she had lived and experienced enough to know that this revenge would bring no relief.
Jinx rolled onto her side, almost hanging over the edge of the ceiling beam.
"You've been..." a hoarse, high-pitched voice broke the silence.
Without waiting for her to continue, Sevika moved forward with a short jerk, barely even feeling her own weight, as if in a dream, and with a small poorly calculated swing, launched the bottle toward the ceiling. The seemingly thick glass shattered into pieces, hitting the beam, but even the smallest shards failed to hit Jinx; most of them fell onto the table and the carpet near the window.
Jinx barely reacted, only staggering slightly and letting out a short moan, somewhere between a grunt and a grin.
As if on purpose, she began to descend from the ceiling uncharacteristically slowly, with a perverse grace.
"As if it weren't obvious you'd screw everything up," Jinx spoke more slowly and quietly than before, but her voice only grew more hoarse, almost with a strangled creak. "Give it a day or two. Without Silco, his goons will scatter like rats from a ship, and you'll drown all alo-..."
"You can't even imagine what you've done," Sevika retreated to the sofa and leaned against the thin armrest. "How much he missed because of you, how much he sacrificed..."
Jinx was laying across the table, her head hanging down and her skinny legs carefully propped up on the edges of the chair back. Glassy, bloodshot pink eyes glowed on her upturned, paper-white face. Without taking her gaze off Sevika, she smirked. Weakly but with the usual mockery.
Sevika didn't want to talk to her, she was sick of her; but her chest once again felt a physical constriction with indignation, and a question, for answer on which she didn't even care, burst forth with her exhalation.
"Why did you do that?" she almost hissed, like a beaten animal. "What did you achieve?"
The smile vanished from Jinx's face. Her shoulders trembled, her eyes widened slightly and stared into space, as if she had once again seen something no one else could see, when a glimmer of realization ran through her like an electric current.
"Way more than you," she replied, wincing angrily, and after a short pause, quickly pushed her elbow off the table to turn over. "You think you'll fill his shoes? Crawling here to whine in between playing commander?" Rising from the table, Jinx picked up the part of the syringe she'd helped Silco use. She rose to her feet and, briefly tearing her gaze away from the object in her hands, glanced askance at Sevika, who had risen from the couch and approached her.
"I'll continue his work," Sevika approached Jinx, walked around the table, snatched the instrument from her hands, and pointed it at her. "Without wasting on such parasites."
"Oh," Jinx watched as Sevika hastily put the syringe back. "So you're better than him? You should have told me right away..." she said in a forced, innocent voice, barely containing a chuckle or a growl, and stepped back. Jinx rounded the chair and grabbed it by the backrest on either side.
"Then why settle for a dull settee? Here," she turned the chair toward Sevika, "is your rightful place. Come on, show how it's done."
Taking another step forward, Sevika moved her gaze from Jinx to the chair. It looked slightly different, though it was hard to discern with the naked eye how. There were cuts in the leather and wood at the edges of the seat, hidden, but not perfectly. The upholstery was no longer symmetrical. There was something inside. Of course, Jinx had put bombs there. What else was to be expected?
Sevika looked at Jinx again, silently questioning. Did Jinx consider her that stupid? Jinx only gave another smirk in response, with a frighteningly sincere glint in her eyes. Those mocking grimaces again...
For a second feigning the appearance of turning away, Sevika kicked one of the chair's legs, knocking Jinx's hands off it. It spun around, revealing several painted bombs connected by a primitive mechanism.
Without a second thought about whether they would detonate right away, she lunged forward, snatched one of them, and hurled it at Jinx, who had flinched back.
Jinx caught the bomb in mid-air and chuckled. She bit her lip in anticipation, briefly meeting her creation's gaze before throwing it back.
The bomb hit the window frame and detonated.
Stunned by the weak but all-too-close explosion and the amount of substances she'd consumed earlier, Sevika barely felt the green shards tearing at her skin, but it was hard not to notice when she was pushed out of the broken window. No less toxic but slightly cooler air hit her back, washing over her fresh wounds, while the remaining glass in the wall bit into her thigh and the only arm she was trying to use to steady herself.
The dust from the explosion and the bright lights of the street signs were blinding, but Sevika had unmistakably distinguished the pink eyes when she received another blow to the chest and began to lose her balance.

Jinx and Ekko team up to fight back against the enforcers in my alternative season 2 fic
(But mostly about Jinx now)
They don't have much screen time but its anyway much mire then canon bullshit.
Jinx has less screentime as her character arc was almost entirely completed in season1 imo: she fully became Jinx and rejected Powder, what else do we need? The only thing left for her to do is become less depressively-insane and more cheerfully-insane to become more like her LoL counterpart; and to interact with other characters and the consequences of her actions to avoid leaving a sense of ambiguity.
She fights Sevika because the latter knows Jinx killed Silco and isn't happy about it (plan to fully wright and post part of this scene and some others); she also fights Vi; and interacts with Viktor in one scene; and her fans from real S2 are still around but they're not here to show her as some heroic martyr, they simply act as one of the manifestations of the chaos unfolding in Zaun and participate in a couple of important battles including the finale.
Jinx also slowly attempts to mend fences with Ekko, eventually temporarily teaming up with him and the other Firelights.
Her rapprochement with him begins in ep4, when she meets him while he's returning to Zaun from Piltover where he spent most of the act1 for reasons. She learns he's alive and expresses her intention to stop the feud since she no longer works for Silco (well cause he's dead). This echoes the beginning of the same episode which also includes my interpretation of the cut flashback scene from S1 where Ekko failed to rescue Jinx from Silco.
And this may surprise some, but I included some songs in my altS2 retelling, including a description of the visuals and their plot implications. I wanted to match with the series. Of course, I won't be able to leave it like this if I want to rewrite this concept into a full-fledged fiction text. I'll need to replace them with normal scenes or exposition paragraphs with a similar meaning, but that sounds like a future me problem so lets settle for what we have now.
Now, if we're talking about Jinx and development of her relationships with Ekko, I can mention that the Hellfire song at the beginning of ep5 and that one french timebomb song that i put in ep6 demonstrate the fact that Jinx and the firelights (mainly Ekko himself) notice each other's contributions to the fight against the enforcers terror and sometimes even cooperate in this, which is the main reason for their attempts at rapprochement.
Also, returning to the regular scenes without clips, at the end of ep5 Jinx and the firelights accidentally engage in the same battle with enforcers and Ekko and Jinx help each other during this battle.
In ep7, Jinx supports Ekko (in a way) after a conflict that left him at a disadvantage, and in ep8, there's a crucial battle at the Firelights hideout, which could have been lost if not for the involvement of Jinx and her fans.
By the ep9 I had to push them apart a lil because they don't seem very close in LoL qnd i wanted to match, but they still fought together in the final battle.
Damn, when I explain it like that it sounds like my entire fic is just fighting. It's not, I promise; it's just what Jinx does.
Finished (it seems) Vi's civilian casual outfit design for my alternative season 2 fanfic
The color palette and pants design are based on the clothes she wore when she was younger, because that outfit is the only one she chose freely and willingly (whatever half-naked deadinside gachalife emo demon oc abomination they made her wear in season 2 doesn't even count).
My goal was to make the outfit reminiscent of Zaun but still more or less appropriate to wear in Piltover, where she spends most of her time in this fic.
The most challenging part was the top under the jacket; I changed it the most compared to the earlier draft. I also changed the jacket itself a lot, but that was relatively easy.
Unlike Caitlyn, Vi has a bit more scenes where she wears civilian clothes, and I think this is important: it shows the passage of time (there are many small time skips of a few days and one of about a couple of months between ep4 and ep5) and the contrast between the person Vi is and the one she is forced to become, the way Piltovan stuff is being pushed onto her
Instead of fixing and denying caitvi's toxicity, I went all-in and unleashed it to its full unromanticised potential
They weren't perfect in season1 and I had no particular attachment to that ship, so I wasn't that surprised when they got all fucked up in season2. Thouh, I was pretty damn surprised when the creators ignored all that dark abusive crap and pretended that what we witnessed was a happily ever after. But let's pretend for a second that we live in a better world where there's no real season2, okay?
I kept the plotline about Caitlyn terrorizing Zaun. Was it inevitable? Could I have come up with something else? Perhaps. But I wrote the entire plot outline in just a few months, or even less if you don't count the time I spent daydreaming and procrastinating, with my only motivation being my hatred of the real S2, so I wasn't that picky about it and went with the easiest way to develop the conflict between the cities. Also, the strike team members are hot and I wanted to include them but i didnt tell you that.
In my version Caitlyn isn't throwing hands at least but she can still hurt you in other ways. Her dictatorship arc begins later (active raids with the Grey and all that only start in ep5) and slowly wraps up by ep9. At first, Ambessa influences her, but Caitlyn quickly rejects her (and Ambessa can't do a shit about it at that point because she's just a rich chick from Noxus and has neither the authority nor a compelling reason to invade Piltover).
Vi doesn't have a pitfighter arc and stays by Caitlyn's side the entire time (and let me tell you, that's just as much if not even more suffering than fighting random people and getting drunk to death).
Vi's arc is about personality suppression, loneliness, finding your place in this world and finding the worst one possible. As much as I'd want to give her the good ending she deserves, I decided I wanted to make the ending of my fic more or less faithful to LoL canon (I don't even like it, i dont play it, but answer me this: why is arcane even connected to the game if it ends up non-canon for it? what was the point if it? make it make sense)
When Caitlyn realizes she's caused irreversible damage to Vi, this and some other circumstances (including the influence of Cait's father who is also here that influences the plot) become the reasons she abandons her villainous delusions. Which, of course, doesn't excuse her, but late remorse is better than no remorse at all, right?
I love what you’re doing and I’m eager to see more. Season 2 was such a monumental letdown that I kept running it through my brain for months after it aired trying to rewrite it into a better version. It would’ve been better if it was just cancelled after s1.
The season 2 disproved my theory that cringe is better than nothing. I'd rather nothing that what we've got. How much better would it be if arcane died a good show?
I will never understand how anyone can like and defend it. When the s2 leaked almost everyone who watched leaks were rightfully negative, but when it oficially aired everybody became braindead all of a sudden and would crucify anyone who doesn't glaze it
design of robotic Sky for my alternative season 2 fic
I won't lie that I wasn't biased when I wrote her storyline, I love Sky and I love skyvik. But I'm just as sure that the decisions I made were necessary for the plot progression.
Viktor does not become obsessed raisin with an ugly bob and inappropriate religious references without his own will, instead, the finale of his arc is becoming the classic pre-rework Machine Herald, and this is a consequence of his own decisions and actions.
And Sky going back to life was what it took. Her death shocked and completely demoralized him, he lost the desire to continue studying hextech and even fight for his life. Sky's resurrection reverses that effect and even gives way more. The further charcater development and Viktor turning into the Machine Herald become inevitable when he escapes his guilt, realizes that even death is reversible with the help of hextech and machines, and temporarily finds a companion that supports his ideas and aspirations.
Sky's robot design wasn't the hardest to make, but it wasn't the easiest either. It's not perfect, but it's fine with me so far. Her body was assembled in a hurry, some details asymmetrical. After being merged with the hexcore, the mechanical body was influenced by it. After the timeskip in act2, she will wear human clothes, but in act1 and ep4, she is still getting used to her new form of existence and clothing is not her priority concern. When visiting Zaun, however, she wears a red-blue cape that, as you may have noticed, is the inside-out Machine Herald cape

What you do is inspiring and makes me yearn for the Arcane we should've had so harddd
Fr. We were robbed so bad there's no words to describe it. When I see screenshots and footage from the season 2 we got it feels like a physical slap, its very existence is devastating. But I have to see them when I look for pictures to edit.
Hate is a good motvation to fix and create, though.
low-quality edits with my enforcers (mostly caitvi) redesigns.
I don't even like caitvi, I just got tired of characters that i like more by the time I started designing clothes.
Besides, its mostly male characters who need new designs in my fic but that's harder for me to make.
I'd rather try to make a civilian casual outfit for Vi (tried before but idk if i like the result) and maybe post some other edits even though they're kinda boring
