They should make a "are you mad at me" that is taken neutrally and informationally every time and doesn't make everything worse when you ask it

the fact that i'm no longer the same age as the protagonists of novels and films i once connected to is so heartbreaking. there was a time when I looked forward to turning their age. i did. and i also outgrew them. i continue to age, but they don't; never will. the immortality of fiction is beautiful, but cruel.

late replies shouldn't be considered a red flag, instead, it should be normalize. when a person replies late, it's either they're busy or they simply don't have the energy to talk. they are either sorting out their priorities and obligations, or dealing with something mentally. be matured enough to understand.

heal. your mom may never apologize to you, because she has conditioned herself to believe that she did right by you. she hasn't healed. heal anyway. your father may never apologize to you, because he can only see what he's done right. he hasn't healed. your family members may never apologize to you, because toxicity is what they were raised on. they haven't healed. heal anyway. that "friend" may never apologize to you, because he/she isn't sorry. he/she hasn't healed. if/when they reach their healing, they may seek your forgiveness. be so healed that it won't even matter. heal for you. you owe yourself that much.

i wish i could feel emotions the normal amount

You will not be happy all the time, which means you are free to experience life. Happiness is not a state you will enter and never leave. Happiness is an emotion you will experience like all other emotions.
