Magikarp passed away today. I came home and he was dead.

He’s always been thin so I didn’t notice his weight loss until last night. I first noticed his fins drooping. He was lethargic this morning so I promised him I’d change his water when I got home from work and give him some bloodworms - his favorite.

I feel like everyone is losing fish right now. I didn’t think I would too.

In Germany there is this project called “Kinder Uni” where once in a while professors hold lectures like they would at a normal university, except all the students there are 8 to 12 y/o kids and I used to go to these a lot bc they were really interesting but tbh I don’t really remember much of them but what I DO remember is that there was a lecture about the possibility of life on other planets and what extraterrestrials might look like and the professor brought an axolotl and now everytime I see this
