Finn The Human Objectum Headcanons ⭕
I find it interesting that despite Finn mostly getting with and getting attached to objects and object-adjacent people, I haven't seen many people Headcanon that he's objectum or even post about it briefly. The thing is, while much of the people in adventure time are object-adjacent since they're quote unquote "Mutants" from the war, I can't really see Finn being super into other humans? And also his relationship with objects especially the Finn sword lead me to see him as objectum, not to mention his single and only shown wet dream was about him getting set on fucking fire by his fire girlfriend, frankly I don't think bro would be super into normal sex.
That being said, here are some Objectum Headcanons I have for Finn!
Finn is incredibly attracted to Swords specifically, and they were his first Objectum awakening.
Finn has been seen multiple times in the show with swords and getting incredibly attached to them, think his first sword which he used, kept, and wore down till it was broken down to practically just a Handle with a little jagged bit at the end, and his reluctance to get rid of it even after this point! Not to mention the Finn Sword, he was very attached to it, it was a part of himself, but I also think he was attracted to the sword itself, and he was thrown into a state of depression after losing it, akin to but not as severe as when he later lost his brother, this is clearly the grief of losing a lover, similar to when he lost Flame princess.
His second type/crush is Plants and Wilderness, he often visits the Forest and enjoys spending time in Wilderness not just because it's enjoyable but also because he's attracted to it, he also especially has an attraction to Rivers and Rain.
Think Huntress Wizard, his final lover in the show and in Spinoffs, think Fern, an unconfirmed but fairly implied and headcanoned Lover among fans, I believe a fair amount of his attraction, especially to Fern, would come from the plant aspects of them, especially considering his uncomfortable reaction to Fern when he transformed into Fun when elements took over Ooo, this is of course partly because of the drastic shock and personality change, but I also believe it was partly a loss of attraction since Ferns plant aspects were gone.
Finn also enjoys extreme fluctuations between Heat and Cold and develops an attraction to the concepts of temperature and adjacent places/imagery
Think Flame Princess, he was clearly in pain when they first started interacting but he clearly began to adapt to it and even enjoy it, which I believe developed a pseudo attraction the heat and fire itself, and I admit other temperatures are more heartcanon-ish but I do believe he has an attraction to elementals and temperature.
Finn is also Attracted to The Treehouse itself, partly because of the Nature elements like I've already talked about, but he also has a deep connection to it having spent so much of his life there and this later develops into attraction and bonding, I may headcanon this as a platonic attraction rather than Romantic or Sexual though, considering I also think he relates the treehouse to his brother, so perhaps sees it as familial.
Later however when the treehouse is destroyed and the tree is replanted, I believe it's more of a Romantic or Sexual attraction since it merged with Fern who he already had a relationship with, and the sword, giving him 2 previous partners of his and forming a strong base for attraction to their new embodiment (the tree)
