apples

im writing a paper that was due a year ago. i have 7 weeks of ASL homework to finish before friday. it feels like i've spent more nights in the art studio recently than i have in my own home.

yesterday my roommate took my grad photos for me, then last night our other roommate had some of his friends from high school over for a homemade dinner. i stayed at the dining table working on my hand-bound books, my final project as a linguistics major.

the final days of my college years are blending together, and i am sat here, drowning in solitary emotions- ones that i can't even find the words to express. my life is becoming a poem that i am writing inside my head, day in and day out. i make mistakes, and i edit as i go but still i cant help but wonder: what happened?

somewhere, obviously, something big has changed in my life. its palpable now, the feeling of this chapter coming to a close. the feeling of this part of my life reaching its end is hollowing. im not ready for it to be over yet. i still need a hand to hold.
