I think people just view it as like. A moral failing on their part if they like a character who did something wrong 5 years ago and isn't really like that anymore because of character development. Part of what makes Akito's character development so compelling is seeing how so much of his early story characterisation is tied to his own self worth issues and him overcoming that and accepting himself for who he is. Hell not just in this fandom I've been on other fandoms where people get peeved if you like a villain because they did irredeemable things like we do realise that flaws are what make characters more interesting (not even an outright villain but this happens to prsk characters like mrs asahina as if they don't have some of the most interesting writing of any character in the game tbh). If every character was morally pure and had never done anything wrong ever things would be so boring. I think it's more of an internet age problem like people are so against the idea that people are able to grow and change. I think a lot of the people trying to deny Akito having character flaws were kids so like. It checks out I guess? You can like a character who did something bad one time it's not like you did it. Let's all go outside more.

Shiho is always seen playing the same bass because there isn't much need for her to change it. Likewise, Honami always uses the same drumkit.

Saki uses a keytar in Regulus, so that she can move around the stage with Ichika, Shiho and KAITO. This may also be because of the different stage layout placing Honami in the centre, rather than at the back on stage right with Saki to her left as they are normally positioned.

Most recently it was used in the 3DMV for Hoshi ni Ichiban Chikai Basho. This MV also marks the return of an acoustic guitar being used, this time by Ichika instead of a virtual singer. Len also uses a different guitar to his usual model.

The 3DMV for Raspberry*Monster sees Saki not using a keyboard at all due to the song not having any keyboard or piano parts. Instead she takes the role of lead vocalist alongside Ichika. This is the first time a member has completely changed position in the band for a song.
