Rules:
Must be canon or otherwise official - Content from any server of the game (including cards, stories and songs etc), music videos, Petit SEKAI, official artwork or 4komas is OK! I will also accept content from the anthology mangas, magazine articles, and seiyuu content (including unofficial stuff so long as it is relevant to the game, like something they said on a personal livestream). In other words everything is fine except fandom stuff/unofficial fanworks.
If the fact is related to Vocaloid/Virtual Singers, it must be relevant to Project SEKAI in some way.
No leaks - Not really a hard rule you can still submit or ask about leaks I just will not post stuff related to them until they are officially released.
Please submit a source for your fact - a screenshot, image, video or link is OK! If you don't have any then that's fine, but please at least tell me what story/card/article/stream/etc is the source so I can get the screenshot/image/link myself.
If the source is not available on the EN or JP server, or is not available online, please attach an image/video! - I only play on the EN and JP servers, and will only be able to get screenshots and recordings of content available on those servers. If your fact relates to content exclusive to any other server or is from a physically published source and you do not provide an image/video, I can't accept the submission.
Asks are also open if you have any questions about a fact or if you have any general questions for me. Due to the amount of asks I get I cannot answer everything, if I skip your ask just pester me with it or something.
Tagging
Characters are tagged Firstname Lastname (excluding Vocaloids). For example, facts about Ichika will be tagged as Ichika Hoshino.
Events will be tagged using the fan translations from the Project SEKAI wiki, rather than the official English names. This is just for consistency so I don't have to go back and redo tags whenever EN changes a title.
The media will also be tagged (e.g: Hatsune Miku: COLORFUL STAGE or Petit SEKAI)
Send me an ask/comment if you need anything trigger tagged. Triggers will be tagged "[trigger] tw". Flashing lights is the only thing I actively tag atm.

Yes I am one person. I treat this blog like a full-time job.
EN player since launch, got the game for the Sonic costume, stayed for potato ni natte iku. Not joking.
I have a basic understanding of Japanese and am also entirely self taught. If I make any mistakes with my translations I apologise + please correct me!
I don't have a favourite unit but vbs has the best music. no i will not tell you who my oshis are or my opinions on ships. i like the vbs side characters (not the americans) and asahi and sakurako. i will tell you that much because i doubt how much people care about them.
I wrote the TVTropes entry in the header before the one other person who uses that site accuses me of stealing it. I haven't used tvtropes in a while now.

I've been thinking of something for a while and I would actually want to know to what extent players could consider what's spoken about in the card stories and after shows something "canon" in the stories of each group.
If there's a way to know, of course.
Everything in card stories and after lives is 100% canon! Card stories often fill in gaps of events to explain things that happened offscreen and after lives have been referenced in later stories in a few instances (most notably characters like vbs!luka and wxs!rin being introduced through vlives and these introductions being considered the official ones over their debut events.
The Hinomori sisters have matching rabbit pins, as seen in Shiho's untrained With Slight Embarrassment 4* card. Shizuku's is attached to her scarf, and Shiho's is attached to her bag.
The pins being rabbits is a nod to the The Two Moon Rabbits event, which was centered around the sisters and featured rabbit-themed cards.
In a tweet, Shun'ichi Toki stated that he thinks if Rui had a partner Pokemon, it would be Blacephalon (JP: Zugadoon).
In a following tweet, he gave a list of what he thinks Rui's team would be if he was a Pokemon champion. The Pokemon he listed were Magearna, Revavroom (Burororoom), Golurk (Goloog), Iron Bundle (Tetsunotsutsumi), Klinklang (Gigigiaru), and Blacephalon (Zugadoon).

this is like. peak nerd question, but what's the highest level commissioned song?
currently for EN, I think the expert rank is held by Mizuki with Kitty at level 28, and I believe that both Kitty and Bakenohana are master 31, as well as a few other comms afaik....
this does raise the question, are there any master level 32 commissions........
I don't know the JP server as well, so I could be missing some there, however

Depends on the difficulty and I'm assuming we're excluding the commissioned high difficulty songs (like MGPD and Amara) but overall probably TONDEMO-WONDERZ.
Highest expert chart is Kitty, it's still the only comm with expert 28. Highest master is shared between Bug and TONDEMO-WONDERZ, both being 32. There's several 31s including MORE JUMP MORE, KILLER, Lower, etc.
Append is where it gets interesting, obviously not ever song has an append chart but a decent amount of comms do and some of these actually go past 32. Tondemo and Killer both have append 33 charts, and Fusion is a fucking 34. Overall hardest is kinda hard to settle on but it's probably Tondemo, Bug or Kitty. Tondemo and Bug are tied for easy (9), hard (19) and master (32). Tondemo has a higher expert and normal (27 and 14). Kitty ties with Bug for normal (13), has a higher hard and expert than both Bug and Tondemo (20 and 28), but a lower easy and master (6 and 31). Kitty also lacks an append and Bug's append is only 31.
Lowest is a tie between a few songs. Lowest expert is a tie between Anata no Sora, Kimi no yoruwo kure, Yoka ni Mitorete, and Order Made, all at expert 21. Lowest master is a tie between Anata no Sora, 25ji no Jounetsu, and Yoka, all at master 25. Overall lowest is tied between Anata no Sora or Yoka, both songs are rated the same on every difficulty.
Clpl made the mistake of giving a date to when scramble fan festa takes place, that being 2021. Given that the virtual singer fanfesta is a stand-in for magical mirai and events generally take place around the time of year they're released, this puts scramble fan festa at September/October 2021 and the journey to bloom era of the game in the 2021-2022 school year. Everyone moved up a grade during for the brand new world era, placing the game currently between april 2022 and march 2023
i though sakis hair is natural liek tsukasa? is it actuallly dyed or just a translation?
Correct, it's not dyed it's natural. Early ensekai translations were kinda jank and they chose to translate a student saying saki has a gyaru style to saki having dyed hair
It is heavily implied that Toya cannot swim. In one menu voiceline, he states that when he was younger he wouldn't get into the water at the swimming pool, but he thinks that he can probably swim. In a different menu voiceline, he says that he will have to practise swimming before going to the beach, implying that he no longer believes he can swim.

So what exactly happened to Kanade’s father? Do we have any idea what his actual conditions are?
I’m writing a fic and I’d like to get it right.
He collapsed and went into a coma from overwork. Based on what we learn from various Kanade events he also has amnesia to a degree, and is still asleep most of the time. Main story mentions that he occasionally remembers some things, the nurses say he told them about Kanade. That's about all we ever learn I'm pretty sure. The game never goes into much detail
Very very occasionally like few times a year occasionally and rarely anything more than a doodle. Varying quality this is what happens when you draw 3 times a year. None of this stuff is from this year some of it is from 2023 LMAO
are saki and akito the lnly ones who ever get told their hair is dyed regardless of if it is? like yk with how en makes saki’s gyaru comment into an « oh she dyed her hair ». has any other character (presumably with an unnatural hair color) been told their hair looks/is dyed or is it only those two? yk.?
Saki's the only one whose hair is ever called dyed in the story, Akito is just inferred off the yellow streak that appears one day iirc it's never mentioned anywhere ingame. Saku from leoni stories is confirmed to have dyed hair but again I don't recall this ever being brought up in stories only supplementary material.
Aside from Ichika's hair being kinda blueish (canonically it's black the blue is stylised) the unnatural colours are treated as how their hair actually is in universe without any question, see Len's ktu card story. I believe one of antoyas kizuna ranks is also Blue Hair.
They deliberately set up Rui at the end of pmm however idk if they'd put a breather event for Nene in the middle. Apparently her bfes was weirdly focused on pmm (been busy w moving so haven't had a chance to read) so I think it's possible. As I said when pmm released though I have my doubts about how much a nene event would connect to the overarching plot given there's been a couple years of buildup tieing Sakaki to the boys (or. A year if you don't count blf lol) while the girls have been kinda doing their own thing

Re: why en is called hatsune miku colorful stage. I don't remember if it was confirmed but IIRC it can't be called Project Sekai internationally bc there's an American video game localizer/publisher company called Sekai Project, so it couldn't keep the original title bc of trademark issues
