This account posts daily facts and trivia about Project SEKAI, as well as regular event specs! I occasionally do some essays and content overviews/news as well.
This account is currently operated by one mod and is scheduled to post daily at 5pm UK time. Occasionally I may randomly post about other stuff going on in the game. Asks are always open!

Rules:
Must be canon or otherwise official - Content from any server of the game (including cards, stories and songs etc), music videos, Petit SEKAI, official artwork or 4komas is OK! I will also accept content from the anthology mangas, magazine articles, and seiyuu content (including unofficial stuff so long as it is relevant to the game, like something they said on a personal livestream). In other words everything is fine except fandom stuff/unofficial fanworks.
If the fact is related to Vocaloid/Virtual Singers, it must be relevant to Project SEKAI in some way.
No leaks - Not really a hard rule you can still submit or ask about leaks I just will not post stuff related to them until they are officially released.
Please submit a source for your fact - a screenshot, image, video or link is OK! If you don't have any then that's fine, but please at least tell me what story/card/article/stream/etc is the source so I can get the screenshot/image/link myself.
If the source is not available on the EN or JP server, or is not available online, please attach an image/video! - I only play on the EN and JP servers, and will only be able to get screenshots and recordings of content available on those servers. If your fact relates to content exclusive to any other server or is from a physically published source and you do not provide an image/video, I can't accept the submission.
Asks are also open if you have any questions about a fact or if you have any general questions for me. Due to the amount of asks I get I cannot answer everything, if I skip your ask just pester me with it or something.
Tagging
Characters are tagged Firstname Lastname (excluding Vocaloids). For example, facts about Ichika will be tagged as Ichika Hoshino.
Events will be tagged using the fan translations from the Project SEKAI wiki, rather than the official English names. This is just for consistency so I don't have to go back and redo tags whenever EN changes a title.
The media will also be tagged (e.g: Hatsune Miku: COLORFUL STAGE or Petit SEKAI)
Send me an ask/comment if you need anything trigger tagged. Triggers will be tagged "[trigger] tw". Flashing lights is the only thing I actively tag atm.

Yes I am one person. I treat this blog like a full-time job.
EN player since launch, got the game for the Sonic costume, stayed for potato ni natte iku. Not joking.
I have a basic understanding of Japanese and am also entirely self taught. If I make any mistakes with my translations I apologise + please correct me!
I don't have a favourite unit but vbs has the best music. no i will not tell you who my oshis are or my opinions on ships. i like the vbs side characters (not the americans) and asahi and sakurako. i will tell you that much because i doubt how much people care about them.
I wrote the TVTropes entry in the header before the one other person who uses that site accuses me of stealing it. I haven't used tvtropes in a while now.

Re: why en is called hatsune miku colorful stage. I don't remember if it was confirmed but IIRC it can't be called Project Sekai internationally bc there's an American video game localizer/publisher company called Sekai Project, so it couldn't keep the original title bc of trademark issues

During the part of the MV where the character chops cabbages, the Kyoufuu All-back master chart syncs with the MV, using trace notes to show the cabbbages being chopped where the chart covers the video.

this might be obvious but why is ensekai hatsune miku colorful stage instead of project sekai? is it just because miku = more audience = money?
I guess so? It's never been explained but it would make sense. Early ensekai marketing was kinda weird have you guys seen the launch trailer
It's really funny how "Hatsune Miku" is on the ensekai logo 3 times because they replaced the "Project SEKAI" text with HATSUNE MIKU and then left her logo in even though they didn't need it anymore and that includes her name twice. HATSUNE MIKU COLORFUL STAGE! 初音ミク HATSUNE MIKU. Guys I wonder if Hatsune Miku is in this game

honestly i'm not 100% no on this anymore bc they did raspberry monster that had saki lead vocals (i mean. shared with ichika). we're progressing. it could happen. in 5 years.
The two shots of Rin singing "Hey, it's a amazing" in the Envy Baby 3DMV are designed to look like the illustration from the original MV, albeit with the balloons omitted.
Additionally, while not confirmed, it's possible that the reason Rin was chosen as the Virtual Singer for this cover is because of her having the closest resemblance to the character from the original MV.

is there anyone outside of the m-f vbs duos who haven’t had a duet yet not including alt vocals? chances of that happening in the future?
ik they don’t really like doing duets as much anymore because of the nenehime drama and them not being as profitable but still (sorry if you’ve been asked this before)
All the m/f vbs pairs are missing covers as well as rui/nene. M/f vbs pairs will probably never get covers outside the old vbs archive ones, this is because they only get covers under their subunits. Rinn will also probably never get one for the reasons you said and also because I think they count nijiiro even though it isn't a cover bc it evens out duet counts (counting keitai renwa towards niigo duets backs this up)
good-ish news: it seems ena7 is probably 2dmv too. event ends on the 17th, and another song releases on the 17th (lapse; a pjsk next winner i think?). and no other song releases on the 9th (the day the event begins).
iirc they don't release two songs in the same day nowadays (not sure if they ever did), but now i'm wondering why neither kohane7, tsukasa7 or minori7 were 3dmv. just… odd. would this be the first rotation where we don't get a 3:2 mv ratio but a 4:1 instead?

In the Soko ni Aru, Hikari. 2DMV, the members of 25-ji, Nightcord de. are all presented as different types of dolls. Kanade is a wind-up doll, linking to her mother's music box being an important item for her. Mafuyu is a ball-jointed doll, but has marionette strings, which could link to her arc of regaining autonomy. Ena is a ragdoll, linking to her background in art (and crafts). Mizuki seems to be a combination of a mannequin and porcelain doll, linking to her love of fashion and clothes design, and to her femininity.

Considering niigo has 27 duets and the unit behind them only has 21 in comparison, you could probably consider everyone behind. But niigo sorta has a special reason for the advantage (they used to only get full unit once a year). But anyway lowest duets rn is Leoni, who only have 14, followed by mmj who only have 16

I haven't read the story yet but like??? Why???? I get his brothers not appearing he's always said they moved out when he was young and he isn't close with them but his parents especially Harumichi not being there was really surprising. He gets a picture of New York instead what the hell sure
