This account posts daily facts and trivia about Project SEKAI, as well as regular event specs! I occasionally do some essays and content overviews/news as well.
This account is currently operated by one mod and is scheduled to post daily at 5pm UK time. Occasionally I may randomly post about other stuff going on in the game. Asks are always open!

Rules:
Must be canon or otherwise official - Content from any server of the game (including cards, stories and songs etc), music videos, Petit SEKAI, official artwork or 4komas is OK! I will also accept content from the anthology mangas, magazine articles, and seiyuu content (including unofficial stuff so long as it is relevant to the game, like something they said on a personal livestream). In other words everything is fine except fandom stuff/unofficial fanworks.
If the fact is related to Vocaloid/Virtual Singers, it must be relevant to Project SEKAI in some way.
No leaks - Not really a hard rule you can still submit or ask about leaks I just will not post stuff related to them until they are officially released.
Please submit a source for your fact - a screenshot, image, video or link is OK! If you don't have any then that's fine, but please at least tell me what story/card/article/stream/etc is the source so I can get the screenshot/image/link myself.
If the source is not available on the EN or JP server, or is not available online, please attach an image/video! - I only play on the EN and JP servers, and will only be able to get screenshots and recordings of content available on those servers. If your fact relates to content exclusive to any other server or is from a physically published source and you do not provide an image/video, I can't accept the submission.
Asks are also open if you have any questions about a fact or if you have any general questions for me. Due to the amount of asks I get I cannot answer everything, if I skip your ask just pester me with it or something.
Tagging
Characters are tagged Firstname Lastname (excluding Vocaloids). For example, facts about Ichika will be tagged as Ichika Hoshino.
Events will be tagged using the fan translations from the Project SEKAI wiki, rather than the official English names. This is just for consistency so I don't have to go back and redo tags whenever EN changes a title.
The media will also be tagged (e.g: Hatsune Miku: COLORFUL STAGE or Petit SEKAI)
Send me an ask/comment if you need anything trigger tagged. Triggers will be tagged "[trigger] tw". Flashing lights is the only thing I actively tag atm.

EN player since launch, got the game for the Sonic costume, stayed for potato ni natte iku. Not joking.
I have a basic understanding of Japanese and am also entirely self taught. If I make any mistakes with my translations I apologise + please correct me!
I don't have a favourite unit but vbs has the best music. no i will not tell you who my oshis are or my opinions on ships. i like the vbs side characters (not the americans) and asahi and sakurako. i will tell you that much because i doubt how much people care about them.
I wrote the TVTropes entry in the header before the one other person who uses that site accuses me of stealing it. I haven't used tvtropes in a while now.

how many 2d models are there with alternate hairstyles? (not counting child models)

wedding dress an, archery shizuku, suit shizuku, training shizuku, main story kohane (school/unit outfit), and post-path of thorns depressed mizuki (cultural festival shirt/school uniform. her bangs are slightly messier/longer. slightly)
Is it unlikely they age up the Cast on anni? I thought it would be good to explore things like the cast figuring out university and work and life after. Do they just not have a plan on what to do with the story afterwards. Also what about the rumoured new unit? I don’t think PRSK needs more units, but you never know waht they would do, lol.
yeah they are not ageing up at 6th anni. niigo is the only unit to ever properly address things like graduating and university and ena is the only one making real progress towards that goal. even then ena has only done mocks, no actual exams and kanade and mafuyu are still sorta floating options. mmj and wxs might not even have more events before anni, and niigo definitely won't, so it would come out of nowhere to suddenly throw the 3rd years into uni.
as for the unit, my theory is that, based on things clpl have said over the years, they planned to end the story for the current 5 units at 6th anni (with wl3) and then scrap them entirely in favour of new units. this was clearly backpedaled at some point, but they never deconfirmed the "we'll add new units eventually" thing. imo it'd be best to introduce them at a future age up so it's less awkward story wise and the new characters can all be 1st and 2nd years to fill out the empty spaces. so i guess 7th anni? or whenever they choose to do another age-up, if ever. but then again i wouldn't be surprised if they tease new units post-wl3 or even introduce them properly (but i think the fandom would throw a fit lol)
Mod, do you think the surveys colopale puts out can really help us players improve the game, or do you think the staff just does it to say they ask for feedback? I feel like a big company like sega wouldn't be very interested in the common player, :(...
yeah i think they do. obviously they will never listen to every criticism but some heavily requested features are put in eventually and they even address some of them in Q&As

What are kanades 4 outfits? (i only knew of 2 before this)
her two default casual outfits, the one in the new ena card, and her formal one she gets in immiscible discord (above)
she also has a green hoodie a couple years before present timeline but we've never seen her wear it outside this card and it's confirmed she just owns a ton of the same blue hoodie so she probably doesn't have it anymore.
Given that the next vbs song is an anhane cover, will the last song of their 3rd album be an akitoya duo or a group cover
hm. bad dogs and vivids tend to get 1 cover a year, and bad dogs has consistently been part of the anni campaign 2 years running. vbs is definitely getting another cover before then so i'll say full group for now but it'd be nice if we got a bad dogs cover to even out the album even if they still have the most covers of any duo lol
how do we know 3DMV songs are canon? ik you’ve said after lives are canon before because of the intro of vbs!luka and wxs!rin so that makes sense for commissions but what about covers?
tbh covers are rarely acknowledged by the characters they usually just start performing or call it 'that song' but there is one instance of a song being explicitly acknowledged as a cover and talked about, that being time machine. we also know rettou joutou and happy synthesizer are canon in-universe via vbs and mmj main stories. going off those we can assume this remains true for other songs, as well as there being an active vocaloid scene mirroring the real world in-universe.

is shama ever gonna get an mv? And are they gonna cover kilmer and arandano (songs in the same series) as well?
no clue, MVs are kinda just done whenever they feel like it and if they feel like it, but i think it has a decent chance on the basis of being a pretty popular song. i'd say kilmer has a reasonable chance to get in one day since it's nilfruit's most popular song after traffic jam and shama, arandano is fairly high on their most popular songs as well. but there's no real way of telling if songs and mvs will be added.
i noticed kanade switches her jp pronoun from watashi to atashi in wl2. do any other characters do this and if so what does it imply about them
I couldn't find any instance of Kanade using atashi in WL2, maybe you got the wrong event? She still says watashi even in the alt timeline. Regardless Atashi is a more casual and feminine pronoun, and often used for characters who fit in that box. Saki and Emu usually use it.
Most instances of pronoun switching are out of formality, characters will switch to watashi when in professional or formal situations. Rui will also switch to ore when being rude.

I've been thinking of something for a while and I would actually want to know to what extent players could consider what's spoken about in the card stories and after shows something "canon" in the stories of each group.
If there's a way to know, of course.
Everything in card stories and after lives is 100% canon! Card stories often fill in gaps of events to explain things that happened offscreen and after lives have been referenced in later stories in a few instances (most notably characters like vbs!luka and wxs!rin being introduced through vlives and these introductions being considered the official ones over their debut events.
