Pride certainly has a way of seeping out from old wounds, and he wasn’t no stranger to that horrid habit. The radio demon had a feeling there might be a need to attend to a certain stubborn king. Seeing how he was the only one with knowledge of the torment the fallen angel had gotten himself, he knew the extent of what pain might be inflicting him. A thought had come to mind of what to obtain and decided to take this opportunity to mend their differences. At least, that was Alastor’s primary goal if it meant having some fun at this hotel. The chains of servitude were broken and the prized buck was free to do as he pleased. Yet the former deal still remains fresh in his mind, thus realizing there could be more entertainment. He was a demon who was bored with other sinners though Lucifer himself still offered something in store. Finally exiting the old tailor shop, the gift was wrapped within the box and headed back to the hotel. It didn’t take long for a fun shadow to express itself with that usual grin. But the very front door, with that annoying sign, did provoke a static and breathed deeply. “How lovely.” He played not seeing the sign and mask it with a grin while his shadow shifted to a look of concern. Concern, concern? Was someone like the great Alastor concerned over someone like the injured sheep? Of course…not?

The shadow was revealing too much which made Alastor somewhat annoyed at its all telling attitude. He didn’t wish to admit such concerns, not when seeing the reminder of a sign that told the radio demon to leave. Without bothering to await an entrance, the demon let himself inside the room with that familiar static. A widened grin still present to come fully dressed with his signature smile and stared at the small king. He definitely had the energy to deliver some gusto remark, or one that looked annoyed with him. Whichever made him feel bigger, the demon supposes! He didn’t bother to present the gift and looked around the room with an endless pool of ducks. Just what was so fascinating about these little critters to someone like the king of hell? Maybe Lucifer was secretly a duck and he could relate to their natures, or it was simply his kind of thing. The radio demon shrugged his shoulders briefly before finally speaking. “Why, you look like you recovered to some degree Lu!” It was intended to be a display of concern, though he wouldn’t be shocked if the sheep found it insulting. At least he didn’t approach the other with a desire to insult his presence the moment he walked inside the room.

“Hm, ignoring that little tid bit of information, you’ve finally brought attention to the item I have right behind me. Feel free to open it right now since I personally had my tailor customize it to your liking.” It might not be a way to fully heal the wounds, but he figured it would lift his spirits up in some manner. Inside the box the radio demon handed out was a little onesie that featured multiple ducks in various colors, along with a duck-shaped hoodie attached to it. “Considering this is from my personal tailor, you can imagine the look of confusion he had on his face the moment I commissioned it for you. I do hope this helps to elevate your spirits even if it’s temporary, Lu.” He merely addressed before staring to the side, noting the mountains of ducks that infested his room.

the serpent clicked his tongue and waved his hand ( though he highly refrained from giving alastor the finger while he had ). " to some degree, my ass. i'm perfectly FINE." he scoffed. " besides, for someone who almost got slaughtered by a giant pet shark, you're standing quite tall yourself bambi! " there was a small snort at the end of his sentence, though his ribs tickled from the pain and something deeper in his chest . . ached? huh, a weird feeling he couldn't really place his claws on. it wasn't like alastor couldn't take care of himself! and it was the same for lucifer, they were both ancient - both more than capable of tending to their own wounds. besides, he only caught a glimpse before he'd collapsed in the midst of that snake guy's little call to charlie. perhaps he was mixing all that RED the radio demon wore, and who says it was just his blood? but. . . but it really did look like it. it looked like his blood spilled, and he could catch those ears pinned back in pain and fear, and the way those dials in his eyes ticked and trembled.

no, no! why the hell did he care? why should he? he got himself into that mess trying to be mr. big and bad! it was such a piss poor excuse when even a young seraphim had to save his ass!

lucifer glanced towards the box being held out towards him and quickly back up towards the overlord. what kind of joke was this? he didn't receive gifts, at least not without a pride. very evident by the pile of money and mammon's shitty handwriting piled up on a desk beside his bed. the king scowled, reading his current situation. alastor's tone had shifted: less covered in mockery and a laugh track behind him, or the radio waves screeching in his anger. even the wendigo horrors were missing. odd, was he really trying to play nice? and what exactly would this radio head know about his sizes? their taste in clothes were highly different, and lucifer wasn't sure he could trust whatever he had his tailor create. even as clawed hands reached out, they were hesitant while slender digits wrapped around the slim box. " i'm not a child, y'know. " debatable, really. " i don't need clothes to cheer me up. "

was he admitting he wasn't happy? hell, he's quite sure everyone could see that at this point. anyone but charlie, really. but, that's who he hid from the most and was okay with being her foolish father. even if it was bad enough to think his daughter actually wanted him to be put into some sort of torture chamber - at least until that idiot of a tv came out did it make sense. anyways!
