care less about men and care more about women. the system of patriarchy exists to normalize the opposite, so you have to make the conscious, active choice to go against it. you gotta
Had to turn down my first job offer in a year and a half.
781 applications in 17 months. 5 interviews.
1 offer. And I had to turn it down cause the interviewer was being a transphobic prick the whole time and for some reason still offered me the position. Why? Why offer a trans woman a job when you so blatantly disrespect her, make her KNOW she will not be respected at your company, that if something happened to her you’re never going to take her side, that you’re happily, fucking GLEEFULLY acknowledging the danger you will put this human being through because she’s obviously an easy target, because you know she hasn’t been employed in 17 fucking months and will put up with anything to get a pay check, to feel useful in spite of obvious exploitation.
I’m so lucky my wife has a good job. Too many other trans women in my position would have been forced to take that shit and be miserable or worse get assaulted by a customer or other employee and somehow it be made her fault because of fucking course they are going to use the tranny as the scapegoat, that’s why you’re there.
not to halimedepost but this one felt like a slap in the face and a bucket of ice water dumped on me. fuck.

I wrote her to have repressed lesbian aura
Annoyances to lovers is THE ship dynamic
you just don’t get it because you’ve never been a homeless trans woman
That episode was a really. Dark mirror. I’m still thinking about it and probably will for a while. Like, how fucking close was I to turning out like that?
It’s almost the exact same story. Absent dad. Mom that took it out on me. The expectations. The performative masculinity. Ran out at 16. Was homeless for years. I couldn’t come to terms with the transness and buried it.
I was barely a step away from turning into that. It was all there. The resentment. Internalized misogyny. Stuck to masculinity like a sinking ship and pushing everyone else off like it was the only thing keeping me alive. It lead to two suicide attempts.
One talk with someone who knew me really well is all it took for me to break. To finally accept it. That’s where it goes different for me. Jax never made that leap, but fuck she was so close. She didn’t want to go in the end. She wanted that time. I can’t believe how lucky I was to live long enough to reach that point. It let me fix things, gave me the time to work on myself and confront all of the horrible things I’d done and was doing to myself and others. I found community. Found love. Became the woman I always wanted to be. And so many others of us never got there.
If anyone out there is seeing anything familiar in this, please, please don’t wait too long to talk. Find someone. Anyone who will listen. Hell, talk to me, I’m here for you. I know it’s hard, but the only way we survive is together.
You’re going to be okay.
girl she's dead what do you want them to do. hang the corpse
Jax spent her whole life miserable and then died without self actualizing. if you need her to suffer for her mistakes, she's got it covered: she ended up with no friends and a bunch of abject self-hatred that killed her. even if we accept that kind of punitive framing, I think she more than suffered enough, and saying it's not enough just seems cruel to me.

you are white before you are trans and i feel like some of y'all forget that
lesbian flag inspired makeup 🧡🤍🩷
Trying to attend anything in public just has me butting against the fact that being tma sucks. Yeah, that hema thing looks cool, how do they feel about trans women? Yeah, the trivia at the lesbian bar looks cool, so like their thoughts on trans women? Oh, that lesbian rave looks awesome, so about the trans women? Just, fundamentally unsure if I will even be allowed to exist in this space, and if I am will I be interacted with? Will I be the pariah desperate for attention but relegated to standing awkwardly in the corner or alone at the bar?
The only reason I go anywhere these days is because my wife is very quick to put on scary guard dog energy the moment someone looks at me weird or gets a bad vibe. Doesn’t stop the space from feeling unwelcome, but at least I’m not being attacked in public anymore.
farcille isn't "toxic yuri." nothing remotely toxic about them, they both treat each other with a great deal of care and affection and respect. just because marcille is willing to do forbidden necromancy and arguably cannibalism for her wife doesn't make her toxic that's just what you do for a woman with broad shoulders
Hey, you, cis girl that's very (correctly) vocal about women being allowed to talk about their periods, do you include trans women in that?
I ask because every single time I've tried to talk about it to anyone that isn't a trans woman they get fucking angry. Which has caused me to have to just suffer in silence every single month. So I really relate to cis women when they talk about literally the exact same thing; being shamed by everyone around them their whole lives for talking about their periods, so they just suffer in silence every month as it negatively impacts their work and social lives. But I don't even feel like I can voice that I am literally dealing with the same exact thing because most of y'all react like you want to throw me in front of a bus for saying it, even those of you who act like your such big great transfem allies.
I guess I'll take this opportunity to talk about trans women periods. The first thing any tme person thinks when they hear this is always "how can trans women have periods? They don't have uteruses!"
The answer is: the uterus isn't what causes your period, it is effected by your period. What causes your period and what causes trans women's periods is the same thing: the endocrine system.
HRT changes the sex of your endocrine system. Feminizing HRT makes it a female endocrine system, giving us a 28-day hormone cycle just like cis women. At the end of that cycle, the hypothalamus floods the body with prostaglandins. Those are what cause all but one of the period symptoms, because they make muscles inflame and contract. They are what make the uterus shed its lining, they are what cause intestinal cramps, they are what cause body aches, they are what cause headaches and migraines. The only period symptom not causes by the release of prostaglandins throughout the body is depression, and that is caused by your endocrine system simply not processing as much estrogen and from simply feeling like shit.
So, the only symptoms trans women don't get every 28 days is menstrual cramps, because yes we do not menstruate since we don't have uteruses. But migraines, depression, body aches, intestinal cramps, and the infamous "period shits" don't exactly add up to us having any better of a time. Except we have to pretend that we're fine and nothing is different because no one believes that we get periods, not even cis women.
"But you can't call it a period then because that refers to MENSTRUATION!" is another one I hear all the time. This is incorrect. You use the word "period" instead of just "menstruation" because it doesn't just refer to menstruation. It refers to a period at the end of the hormone cycle where we experience a host of symptoms. And not all cis women experience all of the symptoms that encompass the period. Not all cis women get migraines, or body aches, or have severe depression. If a cis woman gets a hysterectomy she doesn't menstruate either! In that instance she experiences an identical period to what trans women experience. Yet, I doubt you'd insist that cis women who've had hysterectomies don't have periods.
Oh, another thing that I personally discovered after bottom surgery: vaginal odor changes for trans women during our periods too. I was not expecting that because I always thought it was just from menstruation. But nope, the ph levels of a trans woman's vagina are the same of as a cis woman's vagina, and it changes during our periods just the same.

I don't know about everybody else, but I am genuinely starting to get sick of the misogyny in fandom spaces.
The God of War Laufey gameplay trailer came out just yesterday- and I was genuinely so hyped. Not only was the combat and visuals an absolute masterpiece, but the lore potential was insane. The mask Faye looked at was the mask Odin was trying to look through- meaning Odin was trying to study the 'Everywhen'/Afterlife of the gods. There's crossovers between different mythologies- and not only that, but we get to see HER memories of Kratos from HER perspective. We get to see her life- her legacy- from HER perspective. Not just her best traits- but also her flaws, her deeper thinking, her fears, and perhaps even a further look into her life before she met Kratos. But the MINUTE I hop on YT or social media? Every video and their mother is yelling "WAAAAAHHHH THIS ISN'T REAL GOD OF WAR BECAUSE THE MAIN CHARACTER IS A WOMAN, THIS IS FORCED DIVERSITY" The mere existence of a woman protagonist to you is 'forced diversity?'
I'm genuinely sick of people doing this. Y'all did this with Ghost of Yotei. Y'all did this with Supergirl. Y'all did this with MJ in Spiderman 1 and 2's Insomniac games because she was an important character. Y'all did this with almost ANY character who was a minority in literally ANY way, shape or form- and it's genuinely exhausting to see. If y'all don't like the upcoming God of War game because you prefer the source material? Okay- fine. Just as people are allowed to like things, people are also allowed to dislike things.
But if you don't like it JUST because Faye's a woman? Feel free to block and unfollow me- I don't give a damn. Because that's not an 'opinion,' that's just straight up sexism. If you call the existence of a realistically written woman main character in a game 'forced diversity,' it'd be easier for you to say that you consider women accessories or novelties and not actual fucking people.
Female protagonists and protagonists that are minorities in video games should be normalized- and the fact that people are still throwing hissy fits over them in the big 2026 is genuinely sad.
