he’s not sure if kirsten has any idea of how INTIMIDATING his boss is - oddly enough, he knows everything about maggie baptiste, and yet nothing at all at the same time. the things he knows about her are far more in depth and nit-picky than what he knows about his current girlfriend, nina. still - the amount of time he puts into his job, into ensuring everything is done to maggie’s standards and demands ( work related, or otherwise ) with the amount of appreciation given – maybe kirsten does have a point.

‘ i want to set them up.     what about that sentence was so difficult to understand? ’   she tilts her head slightly to the side, brow raised before dismissing the question with a curt wave of her hand. it’s not important. this, however, is very important.  setting up quincy fisher and maggie baptiste is essential to kirsten having a somewhat active social life outside of work.

HEAD TURNS SLOW, brows knit in an expression that can only be described as the lovechild between fear and ‘ ready to fight. ’ marcos is doing one of those i - have - to - see - what - it - is - i - should - maybe - be - running - from - before - i - actually - run things.  dios mío.  HE KNOWS THAT FACE. quake, in the flesh. his mouth hangs open a little, half from panting and half from disbelief.

THE LOOK OF DISBELIEF ON HIS FACE SHOULD MAKE HER FEEL PROUD,    but  it  doesn’t.    daisy  doesn’t  like  being  feared,   especially  not  by  people  like  him ;   people  like  her.    being  feared  by  hydra  agents  is  a  different  thing           then  it’s  an  advantage.    here,   not  so  much.      ❛    you’re  right.    it’s  not  a  coincidence.    you  just looked  like  you  needed  some  help,   so,   here  i  am.    ❜      she  keeps  her  hands  in  the  air,   making  sure  he  understands  she’s  not  on  the  offensive.

BLUE AND RED lights up the block, police and sentinel vehicle circle and searching with the headlights of their cars and the flashlights they shine out the windows ( not allowing him to use the cover of night to escape ). they’re narrowing in on him, and there’s only so far he can get on foot —

back presses into brick, chest heaving from panting. marcos dares enough to peek his head around the corner,only to see more police at the end of the street — and decides TRAVELING FURTHER into the alley would be his best shot … so he does, hoping it’ll lead to a way out.

EVADING POLICE OFFICERS IS AN OLD TALENT OF HERS,  and  as  such,  she’d  snuck  into  the  alley  at  the  first  sight  of  them,  her  dark  uniform  allowing  her  to  easily  fade  into  the  shadows.  Daisy  waits  then,  pushed  up  against  the  alleyway  walls,  until  a  figure  appears  at  the  other  end.  She’s  got  a  visitor,  it  seems,  and  she’s  not  entirely  opposed  to  it,  if  he  is  who  she  thinks.  And  with  S.H.I.E.L.D.  silently  hovering  above  in  the  cloaked  quinjet,  Daisy  prays  he  won’t  turn  on  his  heel  and  sprint  off  at  the  sight  of  her.  ( Not  everyone’s  a  fan  of  the  public  face  of  the  Inhuman  race. )
