My overtime shift got cancelled today and the world is my oyster!!!!

I spent way too much time doom scrolling the past few days bc I feel hella sad and like a loser and like I have no friends. Phone friends pls come thru.

If your patient that smelled really bad called you a white bitch for no reason and looked like he might swing at you, would you still try to get them cleaned up during your shift?

I didn’t mulch last year and I’m really late doing it this year (just got it delivered yesterday, haven’t started laying it down). The weeds are already so out of control that it’s making me want to just give up and let them take over and plant grass in half the beds next year. I have to weed all the beds before I lay the mulch. I think I’m just gonna till a lot of it and lay cardboard then mulch but it’s still gonna take me forever 😭

Last week on our way to WV Kevin and I stopped for the day at Deep Creek lake where my family was vacationing for the week. We spent time with the nieces and nephews and a little time with the adults and then continued our drive. My coworkers were coming to WV and staying at our house and my parents knew this. Actually my parents had mentioned possibly coming down after the lake trip, but my coworkers had already planned to come. (Of course! The ONE time they express interest in coming after we have guilted them for years!) I had texted my dad asking about Father’s Day plans and asked how the rest of the lake week was. He sent me a long response about what all they did. He did not ask how my trip was. I don’t know how to not feel resentment that they just plain don’t seem to care about us. When we see them they ask the same questions, clearly didn’t listen to what we’ve told them before. It’s wild to me that my coworkers come to see our place before my own family. My brother and SIL actually did stay there for one night but I found out that they would be in town by accident and I offered it to them. I could say something to them but I honestly don’t think it would change much.

My self-confidence has been in the mf toilet and I don’t know what to do about it.
