I have the WORST sunburn on the backs of my calves and I’m pretttty dehydrated. I haven’t peed since this morning 🫣

I have drank so much water and electrolytes though so I really don’t get it.

Ok this is getting better and I can bear weight on my left hip again too. My sunburn stings so bad but I’m using so much aloe and an ice pack to help cool it down.

I came second! Don’t tell anyone that there were only 3 women in the 6 hour event 😂

At any rate, my hip was toast at about 33km and I spent a lot of time crying and limping but I still managed to push until the time limit and made it 39km. I missed both my goals but I can be proud of this. For one, I learned so much including the fact that I need to get to the gym. Strength training is non negotiable.

My trail sisters were out in droves- they were supported me so hard and booked me a massage at 4pm right when my event ended. I think it helped me to get to the car lol.

I am really struggling to move around at the moment so the next few days are going to be rough.

THAT said, I did finish my final paper that's due next weekend and the assignment was to assess a change that took place in either your organization or one you know well... so I wrote a scathing indictment of edmonton public school board's latest strategic plan as an unambitious and uncreative response to the changing educational landscape and lack of provincial resources. So. I'm pretty proud of that one.

I still have one more peer discussion post to respond to for this week in my course and I know that I'm going to struggle to do it on Sunday so I went into the forum and took a little look around just now and I swear to god I read the first line and my eyes are crossing with boredom. "A change I implemented at work blahbitty blahbitty blah" "communication is important to change management because bling bling blah" fucking gag me

I should just start calling people out for their obvious use of AI to write some of this bullshit. I become really destructive when a course is bad

Right now I’ve just become so excited. I ran a little bit this evening to get the nerves out and it helped. I might do it again on Friday morning. My cousin and I are picking up bibs on Friday evening and then Saturday morning it all begins. 6 hours of running to see how far I can go! Let’s goooo
