Tom: *blinks awake, then squints at me and then at the time* B-B-Baby?

Me: *wide awake* Tommy!

Ben: *dead to the world* Zzzzzzz….Zzzzzzzz….

Tom: *shuffles underneath the covers* Love, it’s still *yawn* really early.

Me: The sun’s up though….

Tom: *opens covers and scoots over, with arms ready for a cuddle* Give me a cuddle.

Me: *frowning* But I made you guys tea….

Tom: *smiles tiredly* If you give me a cuddle, then maybe I’ll get up-!

Me: *leaps into his arms, glued to his side* Hi there!

Tom: *kisses my nose* Silly baby.

Ben: *walking* Baby, you do realize we’re walking uphill at the moment, right?

Me: *confused* No?

Ben: *removes his hands, and reappears* Here I am! Peek-a-boo! Now, it’s your turn!

Me: *looks over at Tom* Is Ben okay?

Tom:*chuckles* He’s perfectly fine, little one. He’s just trying to have a cute little moment with you. Go on, hide for Benny. Let’s see if he can find his little sweetheart.

Me: *smiles, covering my eyes* Oh, but what if he can’t? I’m a really good hider.

Ben: *playfully gasps* Oh no! Where’d my little butterfly go! My little baby, they’re gone. Like absolute magic! Gone!

Me: *uncovers eyes, giggling* Benny!

Ben: *beams* Baby!

Me: Peek-a-boo!

Ben: I found you!

Ben: *sighing* Baby, please tell us you didn’t just spill something.

Me: Ummmmm….*looks at the now empty snack container and down on the ground* It would appear my gold fish wanted to go for a rather unexpected swim.

Tom: *fails to hide his soft laughter* Is that so?

Ben: *groaning* Oh, baby!

Me: Sorry….

Tom: *smiles through the rearview mirror* Don’t worry. We’ll pull over and Ben can get you sorted out again.

Ben: I suppose….and I guess I can get you some more gold fish as well. Maybe even a kiss or two if you like.
