the art of starting over

“I know, it’s a miracle. Behold the sight while you can because this isn’t likely to ever happen again. If you tell the story later, no one will believe you,” she continued to joke, before letting out a laugh. “Well, in that case, I’m going to have to decline. Can’t have everyone knowing all of my secrets. That would just defeat the purpose of living as an enigma,” she teased. “But seriously, that sounds fine,” she said, getting serious once the camera was aimed at her. “My name is Yuri Moon and my major is Criminology, with the intent to become a lawyer.” 

“Bold of you to assume anyone ever believes my stories,” Jude winked. Or listened to them in the first place. Jude had a tendency to ramble on for ages if you let him, especially about topics he was passionate about. “Criminology? That’s really interesting! So are you wanting to go into criminal law or a different law focus?”

“I’m fine,” Gertie responded, more attitude in her voice than necessary. “No, it’s alright. Actually,” she hesitated, wincing slightly at another wave of pain, “do you happen to have that Tylenol on you?”

“Actually, yeah, I do.” Jude slid his backpack off of his shoulders, unzipping the front pocket and pulling out a tiny white bottle. “I try to be prepared for any emergency. Or... well, stress induced headaches from being around people all day,” he joked to diffuse the tension. He held out a few pills. “What’s hurting?”

“yeah of course, you don’t have to thank me by the way. always down to help a classmate.” she tells him and gives him a bright smile as she listens while nodding her head. “oh sounds interesting, i like that. well i’m here so ask away with whatever it is you want to ask.” 

“I’m always gonna thank you! You deserve to know that you’re appreciated. But the same goes for you. If you ever need help with anything, I’ll be there. I can’t promise I’ll help well but...” Jude trailed off with a laugh. “Okay. This is the most important thing I’ll ever ask you. I believe it gets to the very essence of who you are.” He leaned in closer, a faux serious expression on his face. “What is your Hogwarts house?”

harper: did you see where our next stop is?

            sujin  turns  around,  a  bright  grin  on  her  face.  ‘  are  you  asking  me  to  be  your  main  character  ?  ’  and  for  the  most  part,  sujin  is  teasing  with  her  words.  she  didn’t  have  anything  else  to  do,  so  sujin  closes  her  textbook  with  a  sticky  note  to  mark  her  place.  ‘  well,  if  i  get  a  shoutout  when  you  will  big  awards  then  i  have  no  qualms  about  it.  what  are  you  doing,  anyways  ?  ’

“Sujin, I am on my hands and knees asking you to be my star,” Jude said with a faux seriousness. He beamed when she answered in the affirmative. “Yes! I knew I could count on you. Alright, so it’s sort of just a get to know you type thing? I want to capture us students as we are now. Hopes, dreams, what we like most about university... Something we can look back on later. Think you can handle it?” He quirked an eyebrow in challenge.

Jude: * troy bolton vc * what time is it? BOTANICAL TIME! IT'S OUR VACATION!

quinn stood there awkwardly as she watched the other set up his tripod and video camera. giving him a smile she gave him a quick nod. “yeah of course. what kind of questions will you be asking me?” she’s curious as she finally takes a seat and waits for the questions to be asked. 

“Thanks, Quinn! You’re the best. I really appreciate your help.” Jude did his best to flash his classmate a reassuring smile. “Nothing too major. I’m doing a project on the students here on the ship- y’know, hopes and aspirations, that sort of thing. Something we can look back on later and see how things ended up playing out.”

“oh yeah, sure. no problem! the water’s a great background too.” raylee nodded. she never minded helping out a fellow classmate. “perfect, make me famous.” she chuckled.

“Isn’t it?! It’s so calm and aesthetically pleasing.” Jude took a moment to take in the backdrop. “It would be my honor to make you famous. Just don’t forget about the little guy that helped you get there, please,” he chuckled.

“Well, if you promise, I suppose I don’t mind at least attempting to be helpful,” Yuri replied playfully, though it truly wasn’t a bother to her in the slightest. “What kind of questions? Nothing personal, right? Because I like being a mystery.” Another joke, because while she wasn’t much of an open book, she was far from mysterious. 

“Wow. Moon Yuri, attempting to be helpful. I never thought that I would live to see this blessed day,” Jude replied in the same playful manner. “Oh, 100% personal. I expect this to be a tell-all that will go down in the history books.” He cracked a smile. “It’s actually not that deep. It’s basically just getting to know the students and what everyone’s aspirations are for the future. So, for the camera,” he fiddled with the settings for a moment before focusing on her again, “what’s your name and major?”
