A lot of therians have already spoken in about this, me included, but my blood is boiling.

For everyone, especially Spanish people, DO NOT GO, ORGANISE OR HYPE ALTERHUMAN MEETUPS.

The Spanish community, both in Latin America countries and Spain, has been getting a lot of media attention. TV, radio, content creators are all talking about us. Definitely not in a good light.

The content that went viral was created by teens, and it was simply doing quads in full streets, Barking at people and following them... , and while most of us are annoyed at that image, because in the end people confused content with reality, it's been the media that has blown this up.

THIS IS NOTHING MORE THAN SHIT TO HIDE THE REAL PROBLEMS: Epstein files, job issues in Argentina or money, housing issues in Spain between others.

The therian community has gotten extreme attention. And it's generated fake therian meetups.

DO NOT GO, ORGANISE OR HYPE THEM UP.

These are the consequences that are happening. This might be a hard watch.

The reason we have to repeat it so many times is bc yall dont get it?? I saw like 10 posts defending her abvse against lloyd aswell? I saw so many posts about ppl making fun of lloyd as victim of her abvse? Some of yall r really sick in the head to think that this is alright bc it‘s ”Just“ a show about legos. if i’m allowed to be picky, i also wish people could be more thoughtful/realistic when deciding on scars. like do some research and think ‘how did this injury happen’. if someone got attacked by wolves, how does that give them a straight cut scar across their face? 

and where are the other effects of these injuries? nerve damage, contractures, amputations, brain damage, PTSD, chronic pain, speech issues, sun sensitivity, blindness, etc? and please do research on these too, its good, its not that difficult.

i want to see characters have scars, and still be able to be normal, and cute/pretty/beautiful/sexy, and loved, and happy. this includes people with extensive burn scars, with skin grafts, with tons of reconstructive surgeries, who are missing eyes or noses or ears or limbs. this includes people with keloid scars, who don’t look normal, who have “gross” symptoms from their injuries. this includes people who have scars from elective or cosmetic surgeries, and surgeries that were botched. this includes people who have scars from self harm or suicide attempts. 

   please give more characters scars, and be normal about it. i am (politely) begging you. 

(sorry if this comes off as aggressive/accusatory, i struggle with tone)

it doesn’t matter how respectfully one tries to educate on the subject, how carefully one tip toes around the feelings of Harumi fans, how much you try to include them on the discussion, you’re gonna get called sexist, misogynistic, and a horrible person for not loving the gaslight gatekeep girlboss terroristic cult leader who canonically abuses the main character. Any attempts to educate are treated as though you’re cancelling the person you’re talking when that’s clearly not the case.

even you, The Admin, will act annoyed about people bringing up the issue more than once but won’t say anything about Ninjago fans bringing up the same bullshit once per week talking about how Harumi was morally correct or about how they hope Harumi will blow up the city again or people accusing other Ninjago fans of bigotry over more nuanced topics. You’ve had repetitive takes yet the one where abuse victims like myself plead to be taken seriously is where you draw the line.

before anyone says “it’s not that deep!” The abuse that’s portrayed in the show is very real. Relationship abuse is real. There are people irl who have experienced it, are experiencing it, or will experience it. Every time someone says Harumi is morally correct, that’s an abuser being validated or an abuse victim being told that it’s okay for them to be abused. Every time Harumi hate is dismissed as sexism or misogyny, you’re telling victims - especially victims of female abusers - that their abusers can’t be argued with because they’re women. This is a kids show, kids will see this and it will form how they see relationships. Do you really want this to be the way the kids in this fandom view abusive relationships??? I don’t like saying “think of the children!!!” But with the way everyone is acting I have to bring it up.

Ninjago fans when you try to bring up the mishandling of abuse: Lololol it’s kids show made to sell toys it’s not that deep bro, Harumi should abuse people some more

like I just wanna talk about why I think this antagonist is very interesting and compelling and instead every time I go to see people talk about her I'm bombarded with people saying how she did "nothing wrong" or how "it wasn't that bad" or treating her actions just "being a #girlboss" or just making jokes out of lloyd literally GETTING ABUSED????

I wanna enjoy this character as a character but man as an abuse victim some parts of this fandom make it SO HARD TO FEEL COMFORTABLE
