I'm(✶) against ao3, and as far as I(✶) know, Wattpad hasn't really done anything aside from host peoples omegaverse fics (Which is an entirely different rabbit hole), and from what I(✶) remember: Fanfiction.net is severely against that sort of stuff and is why ao3 was made in the first place.

I(✶) am against censorship for people of color, journalists, queer voices, and marginalized identities in general. Which is originally what anti-censorship meant, however many people have co-opted it to try to say that pedophilia, rape, etc. is inherently queer when it is not. I(✶) do not like you putting words in my(✶) mouth. AO3 is also not "anti-censorship" either like you think it is, considering it actively bans and censors black people and will ban someone for something as simple as "free palestine" in a bio, however will gladly let people make corrective rape fics and lynching fics of real people, will gladly allow groups of people to post CSA/EM links and images without so much as blinking at it, gladly allows people to make deepfakes of real (PT: real) minors. -✶

to me, proship spaces are inherently predatory. i know both anti and proship communities can have predators in them but with proshippers i feel like they can easily invite them in. there are children/teenagers who engage with lolisho discourses, write incest fanfic and joke about rape constantly... how it that not supposed to be a harmful place to be in for their development? i know that there are adults who block and report them which, hey, big respect to them, but the other side who is fine with 13 year olds talking about how much they wish to be raped is just. predatory to me.

The thing is, that is called body dysmorphia, which is a different thing as opposed to someone having gender dysphoria or being transgender in general. I(✶) do hope you can work through that.

Another thing is that it's extremely disrespectful to those who are that race. Imagine, if you will, someone who has never looked at your culture and never had to face the hardships you end up having due to being raised in that culture and dealing with racism against your race, and then suddenly seeing that person going "I'm actually [race] because I like the aesthetic!", using common stereotypes of your race to try and emulate it, despite them not even being close. I(✶) presume you would find that severely rude and disrespectful.

I'll(✶) use myself(✶) in this instance. I(✶) am Romani/Irish and was raised in this sort of culture on the American side of it. Imagine how I(✶) end up feeling whenever I(✶) see someone start going "I'm transgypsy which means I feel I should be romani in a trans way" (Which I[✶] have seen), using a slur meant for my(✶) people and using stereotypes to "be that race/ethnicity". Seeing someone go "Transromani tips! Start shoplifting and stealing!, watch hunchback of notre dame and pay attention to Esmerelda specifically and act like her! Get a fake tan!" (This is an example, but there are many of these sorts of things I've[✶] seen when it comes to black people and people giving "transblack tips" that just consist of stereotypes such as constantly using AAVE). I(✶) presume you would feel the same in this scenario if this happened to you.
