Draft for project 3

The characters I am doing for this project is Grant from Jurassic Park and Jean Valjean from Les Miserables. I am confident with my logo design for Grant, however for my Jean Valjean design I am feeling that it’s a little weak and I want to come up with a solid idea before I do line art for the logo. For his logo I want to incorporate the bread that he stole in order for him to go to jail and kickstart the plot of the movie and to tie it back in with France have the color design be of the French flag.

Thumbnail sketches for project 3.

1) Jean Valjean, his whole thing was that he went to prison for 20 years for stealing a loaf of bread. He is also incredibly strong. So I wanted to incorporate aspects of that into his logo.

2) Grant from Jurassic Park. Pretty straight forward, the flare seems to be the most notable item around him besides his hat and the T-rex. However, the curvy nature of the dino would make for an interesting logo so I may go with number 8.

I want to apologize for the quality, as I forgot to save my progress but took pics of the computer screen as I went along to send to my mom lol. I’m extremely satisfied with how my poster is turning out. I chose to make the animals all variants of cool toned colors while the barn and eventual quote will be warm toned to emphasize the social status separation between the pigs and the rest of the farm animals.

To finish this project up I need to add the ladder on the left hand side, some shading, and the quote.

1) My first snippet is based off the 30 day yoga journey that I have been following for the past month. The woman in the photo is doing a pose that I have had trouble mastering as my balance is subpar, but the challenge keeps me going. The main focus of the journey is too be present in the moment, and in the age of social media I think that’s very important.

2) This is based off of the inside joke me and my best friend have. 5 years ago I saw these 2 geese flying over the bay in my backyard and I snapped a photo of them. Then sent it too my bestie with the caption (2 brothers), as in the two geese represent me and her.

3) This last snippet is from a car accident that me and my friend got in last month. She was so shocked in the moment and all she could say was “There’s been a collision!” It made me laugh at the time cause I thought she sounded like a radio announcer.
