๑ floor time ──୨ৎ─ oooo i love this,,, especially by the window when the suns hitting the floor!! veryy kitty like very much fun and relaxing although if you dont have carpet floor you can put a blanket down!! its extra nice if you have a kitty you can cuddle up with!

- Fix little parts of their clothes, and tie their laces.

- Use their favorite petnames when greeting.

- Spoonfeed them, and bonus, say “aaaah” while you do.

- “Good job, baby!” for praise, plus a sticker for rewards.

- “Let me help; you’re a bit too little for that, aren’t you?”

Little ones hate these tricks!!!

Reminder that rules for playing r made up

You are allowed to :

Have stuffies with no names/personalities

Have stuffies who are just toys and you dont see them as friends or sibbies or alive etc

Have one stuffie whose soul/name goes in between plushies!! I do this a lot because my main comfort plushie is too big to take with me so her soul can move between plushies :] sometimes she is a dog, sometimes she is a monkey, sometimes she is a giraffe...

Have multiple doubles of the same kind of toy

People whose toys have toys (i.e. my doll has plushies!)

Prefer dolls or figurines or other hard plastic toys rather than soft plushies

Keep your toys on display and dont really take them down or physically play with them (they dont mind this!! In fact they enjoy relaxing :] )

Give names/personalities to toys that technically wouldnt have them (like cars)

Form bonds or play with things that aren't toys, like sticks, pet rocks, etc, or even electronics like phones or laptops!

Also, touching on the theme from earlier, people who dont have typical rules for toys, such as: my toy can come with me in spirit even if I cant actually bring them, my toy and I communicate telepathically or in another nonverbal way, my plushie's soul isnt bound to a plush body and can jump into electronics or figurines, etc

Customize your toys with paint, patches, embroidery, dye, etc

Accessorise your toys or make them clothes and that's how you play with them !!

Prefer not to play with others, or for people to not touch your toys! That's very fair!

Have toys who are characters from a specific media, but you customize them to make them look different, give them a different name, give them a different story, etc

🐅 . . . ☆ Yes autistic play looks different, but "different" doesn't just mean the "amount of weird the public can tolerate", and play can be anything!! The idea is that it's fun for YOU ( nd whoever else plays with you! ) What doesn't look fun to you might be a blast for someone else ! Keeping an open mind will make playing fun !

- learn about religions/devote yourself to a religion (not mandatory)

- wear capes to feel like wings

- do skincare so you have shiny skin!

🌹 Try being in an open space. Focus in on your wings and their size in an open space where you can stretch them and not bump into anything around. It’s easiest to feel them when you have room!

🌹 Wrap yourself in a warm, fluffy blanket. If your wings were feathered, blankets can really, really help to stimulate the feeling of having wings wrapped around yourself. Focus on that feeling until you start to feel them manifest.

🌹 Lay on your stomach in an open space. This way, you aren’t crushing your wings. You have room to stretch and spread them out where there’s no extra added weight.

🌹 Stretch out your arm and focus on how it feels. Once you have that feeling in your head, try manifesting those same muscles that you used to have and slowly stretching them out until you can feel them more.

🌹 Roll your shoulders, make sure your back is loose. You want to be able to feel the wings naturally and painlessly. Sometimes, rolling your shoulders can also trigger wing feelings, since often wings move with shoulder movement. Similarly, you can try shrugging and lifting your shoulders to see if that helps your wings.

🌹 Listen to some music, get in the mood. Either music that gives you heavy feelings or meditation music that helps manifest ideas. For me, I found the song Locked out of Heaven gave easy and quick wing shifts - so it doesn’t just have to be meditation music.

🌹 Try triggering a memory, first. If you can imagine what it used to feel like to have them, or try accessing a vivid memory, it can often trigger those same feelings in your astral wings.

🌹 Do things that remind you of flying. For me, it was running down a large hill, stimulating that feeling of, “oh, I need to lift my wings now and take off.” I’ve heard swimming also helps, or jumping on a trampoline.

something that I see many winged folks experience, including myself, is wing related dysphoria. more specifically, dysphoria relating to not being able to fly or not having wings physically. all my life this is a struggle I've dealt with, and I understand how painful it is. there are ways to relieve it though! here's some things that I've come up with and suggest to those who are struggling:

create mood boards, wallpapers, stim boards, and pinterest boards relating to the sky, your wings, theriotype, shifted form, etc

dive into media that has winged people/creatures (maximum ride, the maleficent movies, the croaking, just to name a few)

play games that let you fly, either with or without wings. bonus points if you're able to do it in VR (roblox, minecraft, feralheart, aer memories of old, superflight, fugl, etc)

practice lucid dreaming or astral projection

blankets!! especially weighted blankets, this can mimic the feeling of having wings

create or buy cosplay wings that look like your own (either typical cosplay wings worn with a harness/straps, or a backpack with wings, or a shawl in the shape of wings)

wear the colors of your wings, theriotype or shifted form

surround yourself with wing related themes or themes related to your theriotype or shifted form (buttons, pins, stickers, doodles, plushies, etc)

wear wing related accessories (rings, necklaces, hair pins, wings you can put on the laces of your shoes, etc)

if you're able to, get wings tattooed on your back or get a tattoo related to your theriotype or shifted form

if you're able to, participate in sky/air related sports or activities (skydiving, wingsuit flying, paragliding, hang gliding, etc)

draw/doodle your wings, theriotype or shifted form!!

meditate and visualize your wings. feel their weight, see their colors and textures, etc.

connect and talk to others who have wings if you need support and are looking for folks who have had similar experiences

carry around a backpack and make sure to give it some weight! having a backpack of a similar weight to my phantom wings tends to make my phantom wings go away, if you're looking to stop your phantom wings from existing for a bit for any reason

collect feathers that look like yours if you have feathered wings

connect with nature! this helps ground me and feel more connected to my natural self. I suggest going outside on a windy day or climbing trees.

stick your head/arms out of the car when you're going somewhere! this is one of my favorite things to do and it mimics what I imagine flying to feel like (pro tip, don't do this if you're driving)

make your room feel like the environment you belong in (using nature or wind ambient sounds, fans to get air flowing, that sort of thing)

collect fun nekomimi / kemonomimi things! hot topic has tons! ear beanies or bucket hats, paw gloves and socks, ears, tails, nails, and so many more!

collect plushes or trinkets of the animal type you have features of!

look into alt culture and see if anything fits! lots of nekomimi and kemonomimi i know (including some of our mods!) love scene, emo, punk, goth, etc!

embrace the “cringe”! it’s fun! neopronouns and alt outfits or music, engage in your hobbies, wear your gear, don’t let people stop you! being nekomimi or other kemonomimi is often made fun of, but it’s so amazing and fun! enjoy it!

watch shows/movies, read books/comics, and otherwise consume media with kemonomimi characters!

enjoy engaging in behaviour that the animal whose features you have would! (ex; knocking things off counters or relaxing in sunlight for nekomimis!)
