I didn't want to draw today so I wrote a thing for the baby fold au instead! :3 (please forgive any spelling errors, I have no beta reader rn):
"Kit, what on God's green earth making you think taking Fold was a good idea!?!"
Kaboodle wasn't wrong, the small child that was supposed to be Fold was running around the ship, every few seconds he'd ask what something was, what a button did, then proceed to try and press said object, if it weren't for Gobbles frantically chasing the kid and pulling him away from the controls the ship would probably be crashing.
Flappers was trying to help Gobbles with controling the kid, but the little rascal was hard to keep up with without accidentally crashing into a control panel.
"He's better off here then with the syntax.." Kit replied.
Kit had come to the conclusion that the syntax were terrible parents, whenever Mis.Information would take Fold out on a mission, nine out of ten times he would either walk straight up to Kit to ask for a juice box, or be left behind by Mis.information in some way or another.
That led to Kit's biggest question: why is Fold even a child in the first place? One mission they fight against him on a dim, mushroom lit room, then the next time they see him, he's.. tiny? It doesn't make sense, status effects from gameworlds are immediately disabled when you leave that gameworld, so it couldn't be that.. could it be in the nature of the float from the gameworld? Kit could only guess.
"The syntax should of kept him, the little fart's annoying!" Kaboodle hissed.
"He's a CHILD Kaboodle!" Kit scolded.
"Doesn't make him less annoying"
"He's worse then Gobbles!"
A large crash echoed from behind them, Kit's ears flattened against her head in reflex.
"Don't touch that, kid!" Kit recognized Gobble's panicked tone.
"Why?" Fold's now tiny voice questioned.
"Because it's important to keep the ship running" Gobbles awnsered to Fold's question.
"Oh boy.. this again.." Kaboodle muttered
"Because the ship needs fuel to fly"
"Because if the engines don't have fuel for purpusion they would be unable to work"
It took a few more "why"'s for Gobbles to be breaking down how a spacecraft engine works to a five year old.
Fold himself had already lost interest and waddled off and climbed into an industrial adhesive container full of glue, but Gobbles was too encapsulated in explaining the physics of the spacecraft to notice.
Thare was a small blorp noise as Fold disappeared into the barrel's contents.
A rush of panic surged into Kit's chest, she did NOT save this kid just for him to drown in glue!
"Oh for God's sake.." Kaboodle snarled.
Kit rushed over to the barrel in the corner of the ship and plunged her hands and her arms up to her shoulders into the glue, only when she felt his arms and got a proper grip did she pull him out, the glue making a massive SHHROORRRP noise in protest.
Fold was calmly licking the glue from his face.
"Gobbles.." she requested in an annoyed tone.
Gobbles turned around from explaining the ship only to realize his student left a long time ago, and was now absolutely covered in glue.
"Oh shoot! Sorry Kit, I got distracted!"
"It's alright Gobbles, I just have a favor to ask"
"Could you get the collapsible tub please?"
