Albrecht je takový ten typický zlomyslně se smějící zloduch, co má doslova ve znaku hada, v noci hladí mapy území, která chce získat, a když se usmívá, tak jedině úlisně

(jak byl ten post? Albrecht z Krvenos jel, aby István Tóth mohl cválat?)

Dneska jsem poprvé v životě zřela české titulky k Hamiltonovi. Nemám absolutně tušení, jestli je to automatický překlad. Trochu o tom pochybuju, protože některý obraty a výrazy jsou přeložený překvapivě rozumně, ale zároveň někdy je to fakt krkolomný. A to nemyslím jako chybu, samozřejmě, že převádět muzikál o fucking prvním ministru financí USA do češtiny bude krkolomný.

The man can't stop leaning against/on things and sitting on tables (or standing on them while singing, lol. I am a firm believer that Aaron Burr's table part in The Room Where It Happens was inspired by Rutledge's delusional auction bit of Molasses to Rum)

Also, I realized that I do indeed have a thing for voices - because his fucking voice, with that absurd southern accent, has had me in a chokehold ever since I first watched the movie.

Long story short, I absolutely love this movie - yes it's goofy, and it's not exactly a musical with memorable tunes, but just for Rutledge, his accent, his Molasses to Rum, and whatever the hell he had going on with Dickinson, I would rewatch it a thousand times and always love it the same.

And I know he's a villain, pretty much the biggest villain in the story, he doesn't have a single redeeming quality, but he also has a point. And I always love it when a villain has a point.
