have I mentioned how small the guy playing Enjolras is? the sheer amount of staging work to make him appear bigger. I’m living!
Grantaire not being convinced by the revolution, seeing all his friends burning with passion, and falls in line, but all his motions and moves are off center, off choreo, much slower. not on point. I’m in awe

Grantaire does die right beneath Enjolras though.
Enjolras mourns him for a second, saves Marius, picks up a flag and gets himself killed and DUMPS THE FLAG AND HIMSELF OVER GRANTAIRE’S BODY!!! I WAS NOT OKAY
anyway. as much as I would have loved some elaborated scenes of them together… the wedding scene HOLY SHMOLY! Did you have to make all of the dancing men Amis?! (I love it. and also: the Ensemble is HUGE they, could have chosen other man BUT DIDN’T)
Cue to two of the gentlemen meet AND Shake/HOLDING HANDS FOR LIKE GOOD 2 MINTUES?! (yep, those were Grantaire and Enjolras) And they almost kiss. I was here for it, dear lord.
