All in time, and suddenly

I've been having a strange time lately feeling sooo out of place with work and where I'm at in life and I've been waiting for a fork in the road to give me an option to change it up a bit... Very "is this really going to be my life for the rest of my life" type thoughts. Being in need of some sign that I'm still on the right path etc etc. WELL, our case worker at cps called last week to tell me that my placement's 17 years old sister has to move out of her current foster home, and that she wants to come live with us this fall... I teared up immediately because I just always assumed she didn't want to live with us so I never saw it as a possibility. But she had told the case worker that she feels so at home and comfortable at our house and that she loves the chemistry she has with me, but that she has been afraid of mentioning this in case I didn't feel the same way 🥺 cps offered to buy me out of one of my jobs completely to stay home and care for both of them and only work a little part time... this means that I'll only be working at the library for 10 hours a week, having no teaching job at all. I had a beautiful 30 minute talk with the 17 year old on the phone last night because she's in a fight with her current foster mom and she needed someone to talk to... I'm gonna cry actually. It was so nice. I'm so excited about this. And I can't let her know yet!!!! but I just want to ask her to send me inspo pics for her new bedroom so I can get started on painting it 🤧💓
