this is the first proper thing i have drawn using procreate so this is faaar from perfect, but i don’t currently hate it which is more than can be said for most of the art i have created recently, so ya know

~ synesthesia paintings ~

okay. so. for anyone who doesnt know, synesthesia is basically a condition where you perceive a certain sense through another sense. for me personally, words, numbers and letters have all got a particular colour, as does most music. its a bit more complicated than just one colour, like, songs look a certain way with different shapes and forms and multiple colours. theres no reason why i associate any of these songs with these colours and shapes, this is just the way they are. its a really difficult thing to explain to someone who doesnt have synesthesia so i tried to paint what certain songs, songs that very clearly look a certain way to me, look like, to try and visualise it to someone else. i hope that kind of makes sense?

if anyone has any questions about it, feel free to ask, because i dont think i explained it particularly well here (or google it since im sure someone else can explain it much better than me!)
