If I had a nickel for every time a show had a six-year long slow burn featuring an ex-military guy who hates his wartime decorations, has an absent father and an emotional-support grandparent, a young kid who the fanbase deeply loves, AND deeply repressed romantic feelings for another lead, and a person who knows freakish fun facts, hides their true feelings behind their job, is considered "odd" but charming by their coworkers/peers, have nicknames that start with B and has older siblings that had to hide deep-seated family secrets from them for years
I'd have two nickels. Which isn't a lot, but it's weird that it happened twice, right?
