you were peacefully sleeping for once. it was a little hard for you to get used to ramshackle dorm as it was practically a haunted house with it being so old, run down, and having ghosts, especially the ghosts.

your sleep was undisturbed for most of the night until 3am struck.

the moment it became 3am, ace who was watching some 3am videos went over to your dorm to bother you by throwing rocks at your window until you woke up.

by the twelfth time you heard a pebble hit your window, you opened it annoyed at the first year who bothered your sleep.

“ace! it’s 3 in the fucking morning!” you projected.

“i know!”

“then why are you bothering my beauty sleep?”

“well, y’know, they say 3am is the witching hour. wanna test that out?”

you pause for a moment, thinking about what you should say. eventually, you chose sleep.

“no.”

and with that you closed your window on him leaving him outside in the cold as you went back to sleep.

only for ace to somehow break in.

“ace!? no!”

“awww come on, i’ve come all this way so why not let me sleep over.”

“fine.. then you can go sleep on the couch or something.”

you sleepily say too tired to care anymore.

“thanks!”

since halloween was right around the corner, it meant more apparitions, more apparitions meant more work for the four of you. you and yashiro especially dreaded this season, because it meant being dragged around by hanako-kun everyday to exorcise some ghost that went out of control.

sighing, yashiro put her head on the desk.

“you good?” you inquired the exhausted girl.

“no… i’m too tired to go clean the toilets today” yashiro complains before burying her face in her arms.

“y’know since halloween is soon it’ll be-“

“be helping hanako-kun exorcise apparitions?” she finishes.

“yup”

“even worseee”

you chuckle, “well, just get some sleep now, i’ll show you my notes later”

yashiro’s eyes lit up as you offered that, “yess thank youu _____”

“no problem”

when class ends you gently shake yashiro awake who was peacefully sleeping for the last hour—you have no idea how she didn’t get caught.

“yashiro? wake up.”

you can hear a groan from her before she looks up at you, “we’re going to hanako-kun now?”

“yeah”

stretching her arms and gently slapping her cheeks, she stands up, “okay! ready!”

“wow! that was a quick recovery!”

yashiro simply nods before dragging you away to the girl’s restroom. slamming open the door, you’re greeted by hanako-kun.

“ah! my assistant and my assistant’s assistant.”

“assistant’s assistant?” you repeated, skeptical that is even a thing.

“what? is that not a thing?”

“definitely not!” yashiro cuts in.

“anyways,” hanako starts, “who you gonna call?”

you and yashiro look at him confused until you both eventually realize what he’s referencing.

in unison the three of you respond, “ghostbusters?”

“wait- kou-kun!? when did you get here?” you question, surprised by the new face.

you didn’t exactly think this through but it’s alright. nothing could be worse than dealing with an overblot, so you say as you stand behind a pillar.

you’ve already looked around the mostro lounge, there shouldn’t be anyone here, probably except for azul. After halloween week ended just earlier everyone was exhausted, azul and yourself included.

once his shift ended, he retreated back to the vip room going back to burying himself in the paperwork concerning the mostro lounge, contracts, schoolwork, etc.

knowing he would do that you decided to sneak into the vip room, now running and sneaking around the mostro lounge to the vip room.

“_____? my, my. it is quite late. so may i ask what exactly you are doing here?”

you whip your head around now seeing the tall eel staring down around.

“i- uh-“ you stutter, before sighing and giving up, “i just wanted to give azul a little scare. you won’t stop me will you?”

“i will not.”

jade says simply before walking off. he didn’t actually walk off; he just stayed hidden from you and azul curious as to how you will scare the dormleader.

you begin to sneak into the vip room and slowly but surely you creep up behind the oblivious azul. you grab his shoulders while yelling, “boo!” right in his ear.

azul gasped and flinched from that. he looks back at you, annoyed and a little sleep deprived as he whisper-screams, “don’t scare me like that!”

“sorry! it was too tempting”

azul just groaned and rubbed his nose.

“how did you even get in here?”

“magic?”

“_____!”

looking through your bags of candy, you noticed you had a lot of candy corns for some reason.

“ew candy corn..”

“what?” mitsuri looked over to you, pouting a little, “this candy is hated on for no reason. it’s so good!”

“in your opinion,” you retort back.

mitsuri quickly thinks of a comeback to say to you.

“well.. you probably haven’t even tried it!”

which was true; you never had candy corn before. actually, you might have tried it once but you don’t really know nor remember.

sighing, you admit the truth.

“you’re right but it still sucks.”

“no, it doesn’t!”

“yes, it does!”

“then try it!”

“no!”

mitsuri pouts more as this conversation continues.

“..why not?”

“i don’t like candy corn.”

she continues pout at you. you sigh seeing this. suddenly, mitsuri reaches into your bag grabbing a smaller bag filled with candy corns. opening it, she takes one out.

“try one, please? for me?” she looks up at you with the biggest puppy eyes, “it’s really good! i promise!”

“fine, just for you.”

you ruffle her hair before allowing her to pop the small candy corn into your mouth. after chewing it, you swallow it, she looks at you in anticipation.

“so? how was it, _____?”

“hm?”

the demon slayer looked over to you, smelling the scent of fear coming from you.

“_____, are you alright?”

startled, you gazed over to him, forgetting he can smell your fright.

“ah- yeah, i am..”

you lied.

you haven’t been to a haunted house before plus you have never been good with any horror stuff so you were pretty scared.

sensing what’s wrong tanjiro comments, “oh, i see. is someone a little scared?”

he didn’t mean any harm, but it sort of came out as a teasing remark.

knowing he probably wouldn’t tease you for being afraid, you answer honestly, “just a little.”

it was more than a little but you wouldn’t admit that to him.

tanjiro pauses, thinking about what he could do to comfort you. after a moment tanjiro offers, “then, you could hold onto my arm.. maybe that will help?”

“maybe..”

you gently reach out and hug his arm holding him close to yourself.

“thank you.”

“of course! it’s no problem.”

the two of you continued on to explore the haunted house in peace (not really as you got jumpscared by multiple props and fake cobwebs).

genya shinazugawa; prompt 28: “that’s your favorite candy? you have shit taste.”

inviting genya to go trick-or-treating with you was a mistake. from the very beginning, he was grouchy. from what? you didn’t know. you shrugged it off, it was only natural, he is in his rebellious phase after all.

however, genya, the short-tempered boy was just pissed off at you. why? because you were making him carry your bag of candy. at first, the young soon-to-be demon slayer thought he could handle it. that was at first, now, with two bags filled to brim with candy, he struggles. what makes it worse is that your picky ass, was only choosing your favorite candy making your bag full of it, just one brand of candy.

“y/n” he grunts out.

“hm?”

“take your damn bag” he shoves the bag of candy into your arms.

“but you said you would take it” you playfully complain to him, pissing him off more.

“i never said that, you just shoved it in my arms”

you fake gasp as you lie, messing with him further, “i would never!”

“you did! an hour ago”

“nuh-uh” you continue to mess with him.

sighing, he gives up as you shove your bag of candy into his arms once again. you take out two pieces of candy from your bag, one for you and one for him.

“want one?” you ask him.

he looks up at you then down at the two pieces of candy in your hand.

“wait- that’s your favorite candy? you have shit taste.”

playfully punching him in the arm, you exclaim, “oh shut up! not like yours is any better!”

mitsuri kanroji; prompt 20: “come on. it can’t be that bad.”

after hearing about a haunted house, mitsuri invited you to go with her. she’s never been to a haunted house before as she can’t handle scary stuff well.

when you watch scary movies with her, she constantly clings to you. see two creepy girls on the screen? she clings to you. see a small jumpscare that was not even that bad? she clings to you. see a very suspenseful scene? she clings to you.

so to have her invite you to a haunted house was a surprise.

you thought that prehaps, maybe, she would try pushing through, and not cling onto you for once.

how wrong you were.

“come on. it can’t be that bad.”

you reason with her as the two of you stood in front of the haunted house.

“nooo, it’s too scaryy!” mitsuri complains as she clings onto your arm dragging you back a little.

“it’s not even that bad” you continue to reason, “besides weren’t you the one who invited me here”

“ah-! i did—but i didn’t think it would be this scaryy” she continues to try to drag you away.

“come onn. does this really look that scary to you?” you ask as you point to the haunted house. the entrance was covered in cobwebs and you can hear people screaming inside.

“…yes” mitsuri says after a few seconds.

knocking on your neighbors door, you wait. a moment goes by and another, until you notice the bowl of candy in front of the door. now feeling stupid and ignoring the “please take one sign,” you take a few pieces, however, a few may be an understatement as you’ve already picked up 10 pieces of candy. you reason with yourself, there’s no one here right? besides this person just left their bowl here, what else would they expect? nodding to yourself, you take a few more, now getting ready to leave.

“hey”

you squeak hearing the boy’s voice knowing you’ve just been caught. you turn around and look up now gazing the boy in the eyes; it was sabito.

“sabito!?” you exclaim in surprise, not expecting to see him here.

“yes?”

“nothing..”

you try sneaking past him only for him to grab your shoulder.

“it said to take one, love”

gulping nervously, you try lying to him.

“i know, i only took one”

“really?”

you continue your pitiful attempt at lying to him, already knowing it’s failing horribly, “really..”

“liar.”

you sigh as you already know what is coming.

nene yashiro; prompt 09: “i really appreciate that you're getting into the halloween spirit, but it's eight in the morning.”

the night before halloween, you pulled an all-nighter, not because you were excited for the upcoming holiday but because you had to cram in some assignments. and so the next day, you came in tired, you’re normally tired when you come to school, however, this time is different; you didn’t get to drink your coffee because they ran out.

sighing to yourself, you walked into kanome academy, noticing the black and orange halloween decorations. not yet seeing the approaching yashiro from behind you switched out your shoes (i’m pretty sure they do that there right?).

“happy halloween!” she suddenly says in your ear as she hugs you.

despite being tired and slightly grouchy from the lack of sleep, you return her greeting.

“happy halloween. y’know, i really appreciate that you're getting into the halloween spirit, but it's eight in the morning.”

yashiro chuckles nervously before apologizing, “sorry! i was just excited. also, when you’re done changing, let’s go see hanako!”

-after that he would attend your concerts more often, supporting you whenever he can. eventually he’ll go to one of your handshake events and you two become more acquainted with each other. slowly, he’ll become a regular, someone who you now always see, someone you’re now familiar with, who’s now your dear friend, and one of your biggest fans. he’s always in the first row, waving his glowstick showing his support for you.

-however, despite always wanting a genuine family bond, he doesn’t believe in you, at first, at least. you actually care for him? he didn’t have to use fear? really?? is this genuine? he became so used to obtaining family members by forcing them, making them fear him. some just wanted to be a part of his family for their guaranteed survival, or, of course, for his power as one of the twelve kizuki.

-so to see you genuinely attempt to form a familial bond with him makes him extremely happy. seeing you make his favorite foods for him, giving small gifts to him, immediately obeying his orders, or simply trying to be with him more makes him love you more; he couldn’t have asked for a better older sister.

-he’s tempted to kill his other family members just because they’re so fake compared to you. compared to you, they’re fakes, nothing, not even close to the familial bond he’s always wanted.

-…and so he does exactly that, he murders his other “family” members for not being good enough compared to you. after that, he chose to live with you, just you, his perfect older sister.

jamil viper; prompt 25: “What happened? Let me help you!” / “Relax, the blood is fake.”

as the ramshackle prefect managing only one other student in your dorm, you weren’t expected to participate in the festivities; in fact you were even forgotten about by headmaster crowely.

so you decided to help out the other dorms. especially when the issues about the magicam people came up.

which is how you’re currently in this situation, wearing pure white clothing stained with fake blood stains, a costume vil is letting you borrow. While he does your makeup, turning you into a bloody “ghost.”

with one of your friends helping you in the background, you floated and seemed transparent, truly making you look seem like a ghost.

so you floated around the school, scaring off the people who disrespected the property.

Only vil and your other friend was aware of you helping you, so you decided to scare your good friend, jamil.

so coming up from behind him, you jumpscared him.

“boo!”

jamil, tired from the visitors piling up trash at the school store, flinched from your jumpscare and looked back at you immediately noticing the blood. his tired mind thought the blood was real and thought you were hurt.

“are you okay? what happened? do you need help?” he questioned, genuinely concerned for your well being.

“hm? i’m okay. it’s just makeup, see?”

you wipe your thumb across your cheek, smearing the fake blood.

“oh, as long as you’re okay then”

“y’know jamil, you seem really tired; do you want help with the school store?”

“if you don’t mind”

you ended up giving him a break, taking over his duties at the school store and helping picking up the trash overloading there.

afterwards getting chewed out by vil for ruining the makeup he spent quite a bit of time on.

ai hoshino; prompt 02: leave some candy for the kids!

you were ai’s lover, you met her soon after she gave her birth to aqua and ruby.

and so today would be the first time you’re spending halloween with them.

you were excited so you went all out with your costume, you were still young after all.

meeting up with ai and her children at her place, the four of you went off trick-or-treating. ruby and ai were the most enthusiastic of the group, practically running from house to house. while you and aqua were more chill although you were impressed by how mature aqua seemed to be despite his young age.

“y/n! y/n!” ai called out to you grabbing your hand, “let’s go to this house next!”

with a fond smile, you ruffle her hair.

“sure”

this time you actually went up with her to the house and before knocking on the door, you and her noticed the bowl of candy in front of the door with the classic sign stating “please only take one.” knowing your lover so well, you knew she wouldn’t listen to it. so as ai and ruby were starting to take all of the candy from the bowl, you playfully hugged ai from behind pulling her away while saying, “leave some candy for the kids!”

“no!”

senjuro; prompt 16: "stop squirming! you’re gonna mess up your face paint!”

senjuro was doing his best to stay still only to fail as he kept squirming about.

“hey! stop squirming, you're gonna mess up your face paint!”

“i’m sorry! it’s just so ticklish! i can’t help it!” senjuro exclaims, struggling to hold back his laughter.

you sigh and start moving the brush slower in an attempt to not to tickle him so much, only for that to fail. As senjuro feels even more ticklish from the slow strokes of your brush against his face and starts to giggle and squirm more.

after 30 minutes of attempting to paint his face, you finally did it, you painted his face. so now he has a cute sugar skull makeup decorated with lovely red carnations.

senjuro stared at his face in amazement. “it’s so pretty; thank you y/n”

“of course” you ruffle his hair and put on his hat completing his outfit. “now, let’s go, shall we?”

despite the school year only just starting, you had a presentation tomorrow. so you were a little stressed, though a little is a bit of an understatement.

and so, the now, night before your presentation, you were at senjuro’s place finishing up your speech. before starting to practice your speech, senjuro looked over it, checking for any grammatical errors and the like.

“i think this looks good” senjuro affirms as an attempt to comfort you.

“…i hope”

senjuro smiles awkwardly hearing your negative response.

“it is good. try to have more confidence in yourself” he continues, again trying to comfort you.

“it’s… good enough”

senjuro gently pats your head. “try not to worry too much about it”

you pout slightly, “easy for you to say, you’re not in honors”

“true, but i know you can do it, you’re y/n after all, my s/o” he comforts, “so let’s practice it, just before we go to bed”

“okay…” with that you start to practice your speech with senjuro.

as you seperate with senjuro, now going to your first period class, you walk in. and after a few speeches, it was your turn… surprisingly, you did much better than anticipated, your teacher, for the first time in a long while, didn’t tell you to speak up, a problem you’ve always had, and, for once, you weren’t shaking.

“…how was your speech?” senjuro asks, curious to see how it went.

with a small smile you reply, satisfied for once, “it went well!”
