They really are like a little family with their feather-baby, aren't they?
Yeah, and sharing custody with a third (abusive) feather-dad, the Red Dragon.
sometimes you need dialogue tags and don't want to use the same four
Everyone in their 80s is dying except the one people want.
Optimus Prime himself is one with the Matrix at the age of 85. RIP.
Thank you

What am I doing
drawing black jack in shitposts because im bored day 4
i have to make a post about dolly parton i just. need to find the words
i know this sounds like an exaggeration, but as a queer southern kid, dolly parton would have been the only reason i could be convinced to believe in jesus again. she was our princess diana. she was the best of us. if you don't know east tennessee like i do, it's hard to fathom how we failed and continue to fail our own. large swaths of the population left to rot in illiteracy and addiction with a lack of access to hospitals and infrastructure and education and jobs and a way to get out. to say 'dolly parton is from a small town' is an under-exaggeration to the extreme. but dolly parton didn't just get out in the way that so many of us dream of doing-- leaving behind the worst places, watching the dust settle in the rear view. instead, she took the place that built her into her arms. she gave millions of free books to children who hungered to learn. she funded a cancer centre in a region without one. she built a foundation that gave monthly stipends to people in the smokies affected by unprecedented wildfires in 2016 which effectively rebuilt the region. she basically built pigeon forge, gave the city an economic stability it never had prior. and i could enumerate everything she's done elsewhere and otherwise, because it is a list that deserves enumeration, but i need to sit with what she did for the south in a minute and i need everyone here to do the same with me. so many of us were given up on and continue to be given up on. i see people all the time write off the south as this hellscape wherein every person is an illiterate bigot monster incapable of change, growth, or compassion. it is easy to then justify the mistreatment of these people, these grotesque representations of everything wrong with our society-- it is easy to abandon them. dolly parton refused to. she could have taken the money, the fame, the luxury and run-- she never did.
and she never backed down when it came to her love. she stood up for the lgbt community long before it was ever popular or even safe to do so as a celebrity. she celebrated drag artists as inspirations. she thoroughly believed we were all god's children. when she spoke of jesus, it was never to invoke his judgement-- it was always to invoke his love. and that's a wound rural kids have, too, beyond the physical systems of oppression. we are failed by our own who have internalised the narrative that we cannot be saved on earth and thereby have to put stock into a heavenly system that heavily punishes its own, just as we have been punished by our own. jesus' love was taught and weaponised but never practiced, never realised, always a bandaid and never a stitch. dolly parton spoke of salvation as something we were obligated to give each other, of forgiveness as a deliberate and continual act of explicit love that we were capable of every day. the only thing we ever had was each other, and we could abandon each other as we had been abandoned, or we could love each other as we were never loved. and she chose the latter. it has been so easy for me, for so many, to leave our country kid past behind the second we could. to mask our accents, to choose the next largest town or city over to claim as our hometown. to dream of worlds larger than the holler, where everyone loves us and no one hurts us ever again, because that could never happen at home. dolly parton said it will happen here. it did not for so long, and i am so sorry, but it will happen here. i was made here, too, and i love you. i will always love you.

this is going to sound like such a little sibling ass take but i genuinely believe that being a little bit annoying is actually a greater sign of maturity and self awareness than being universally likeable and on good terms with everyone
if some people find me annoying and can't stand me because of how i think and act then that means i'm a fully realized human being with my own personality and opinions and free will and not just a reflective surface for other people's desires, which is in fact a good thing despite what people who want you to just be a reflection of their own opinions and desires will tell you, and why being considered "cringe" or whatever doesn't bother me at all
also it's really funny when you're confident enough in yourself to know that people not liking you isn't always a sign that you're the problem. like there's something undeniably hilarious about being aware your mere existence has the power to piss someone off and ruin their day and i recommend embracing it.
Oh fucking thissss

The only two known Marco Polo Jr. fujoshis (fudanshis?) spotted in the wild (i.e outside tumblr.hell) :
Free the nipple! "but what if someone gets turned on??" people get turned on over like feet and beautiful summer days. we cannot live defensively.
IF YOU SEE ANY PAINTING BY "EMILE CORSI" ON HERE, DO NOT REBLOG IT THINKING IT'S REAL AND FROM THE 1800s. IT IS AI-GENERATED AND EMILE CORSI IS NOT A HISTORICAL FIGURE
examples:
And if you love the vibes and wish you could find something similar painted by a real person, let me introduce you to John William Waterhouse, on whose work the AI was definitely trained:
Corsi is not real

literally just start posting about your OCs. you don’t even have to “properly” introduce them just make them a dedicated tag, tag them on posts that remind you of them, and then start talking about them like everyone’s supposed to already know who they are. i am not joking when i say this method works.
A severely underrated film, here. Marco Polo Junior vs. The Red Dragon, Australia's first animated feature film, and which has been my muse for the past several months as of July 2026. Some of these screencaps kind of encapsulate the particular reasons why.

Something, something... what's a train of thought?... something, something...
From the "Illusions" song sequence from Marco Polo Junior versus The Red Dragon (1972). The Red Dragon's spies, implicitly queer-coded and romantically entwined, have been hypnotized by The Guru, an elderly mystic who aids Marco in his quest to Xanadu. This is one of my favourite sequences in the film, not least for the character details one picks up on the more they watch it.
I want you all to know that an Arab Muslim from Tunis proposed the Theory of Evolution near 600 years before Charles Darwin even took his first breath. Don’t let them erase you.
his name is Ibn Khaldun
Also, it was not the apple falling from a tree that made Issac Newton “discover” gravity. He was reading the books of Ibn Al Haytham, an Arab Muslim from Iraq, who pioneered the scientific method, discovered gravity and wrote about the laws governing the movement of bodies (now known as Newtons three laws of motion) some 600 years before Newton existed. Without him, modern science as we know it wouldn’t exist. Read on him. His achievements are far greater than what I’ve just mentioned here.
#no offense but arabs literally invented chemistry and algebra and we came up with the concept of the camera #the cataract operation that’s still practiced today was invented by an Arab #we created alchemy and the wright brothers used abbas ibn firnas’ findings and writings to build on to create a plane #I could go on and on and on #pls don’t erase our scientific history
