the AI art/picrew hypocrisy is also resolved by the understanding that both are participatory art pieces, theyre both corpuses of data that users are invited to curate in different permutations that nonetheless all end up reinforcing the artistic ambitions of the tool's creator. you're allowed to say that one of these pieces is a better artwork.

Something I don't see brought up much about large language models is their total inability to keep to a consistent style; it's really common to see them switch between Commonwealth and American English mid sentence for seemingly no reason (ie. "his flight was canceled so he travelled by bus" or "she had to familiarize herself with how to categorise the products" or "there was a spare tyre in the car's trunk") amongst other issues; this is only made more glaring by the fact that LLMs generally do try to follow conventions set by style guides; they just don't stick to following the conventions of any single style guide, producing something which an actual human would be unlikely to write
They also just get numbers wrong constantly; typing "how old would someone born in 1981 have been in 2016?" into Google should not bring up an "AI assistant" telling you that "someone born in 1981 would have been seven years old in 2016", but I have literally seen it do that before
I get why people want to pick holes in a lot of the other things that give away LLM-generated text, but some of the issues are so glaringly obvious that they practically reveal the probabilistic "man behind the curtain" in-and-of themselves
Mostly this is just a problem with tech giants trying to overfit machine learning models to use cases that they simply aren't suited for, and there are things that LLMs are really good at; for example, the technology works really well in a thesaurus application; but it's an extremely long way from general AI, however much certain brands of techbros and grifters will insist otherwise
watching a video and realizing I miss the term "flame war", it was JUST tongue-in-cheek goofy enough of a term to describe how silly it was to carry on long arguments online over shit that doesn't matter and was often started/spurned by a troll. Now ALL of it is just "discourse" or "engagement" which feels like they put a godawful slap of PR paint over the surface of flame wars like a cheap landlord looking to charge 1000 dollars more for the same crumbling walls

So many deltarune videos are like "what if you used CHEATS to see [thing you normally can't] in chapter [X] of deltarune?!" and the video shows that there's nothing programmed for that cause because you're never supposed to do that, and then the video's over.

Something that breaks my heart re watching Rebellion is that this labyrinth was made by Homura's subconscious, and it is supposed to be her "perfect" world. They don't face any actual danger while fighting nightmares, they're all friends, they're all well... and Homura is the same person she was before her wish.
She wears her glasses and has her hair in braids like before. She is again shy and quiet. She's the cute, nice girl everyone likes. In her ideal world, she would be what she used to be. And I wonder how much it hurts her to not be that quiet girl anymore.
Whats even more tragic is that she also wouldn't want to knowingly go back to that, because that version of her embodies many of the things she views as weaknesses. Her subconscious wants are in conflict with her conscious ones and both have merit, but she can't be both those people because they are too different.

doesn't max have the record of winning from the most different starting positions? I feel like that's an anime stat to have
Verstappen has won from ten different positions (first, second, third, fourth, sixth, seventh, ninth, tenth, fourteenth, and seventeenth)
Alonso has won from nine different positions (first, second, third, fourth, fifth, sixth, eighth, eleventh, and fifteenth)
Coulthard, Hamilton, Lauda, Piquet Snr, Räikkönen, and Michael Schumacher have all won from eight different positions
surprisingly Prost is amongst those who have only won from seven different positions, despite the fact that a lot of those wins came when Mclaren weren't paying Porsche to make special qualifying engines which put them at a disadvantage in qualifying
Coulthard's record in that regard is possibly the most surprising given that's the majority of his grand prix wins
Coulthard is more anime in this case
the other thing with Coulthard is that he tended to win the races at iconic venues or the first race of the season
two wins at Albert Park, two wins at Silverstone, two wins at Monte Carlo, a win at Monza, a win at Imola, a win at Spa, and a win at Interlagos
arguably the three exceptions there are his win at Estoril, his win at Spielberg (maybe a more iconic venue now but at the time it was just seen as a shadow of the former venue), and his win at Magny-Cours
but yeah, overall it's kind of an anime-looking stats sheet even if he never won a championship or the sheer quantity of races that the likes of Schumacher or Hamilton have
