“I think the most interesting thing about being human and being alive is not being afraid to assume different roles, assume different identities: I’m not same person I was in my twenties, and when I’m in my forties I’m sure I won’t be the same person as I am now in my thirties. And that’s why I look forward to it. I’m in my mid-thirties and I’ve never felt better; thirties is great because you’re still youthful, you still have so much to learn, so much life to live, but you’re kind of old enough to be able to reflect on the past and be more confident. My twenties were all about trying to figure out what other people were going to perceive me as, and in my thirties I feel blessed that somehow I’m not concerned about it anymore. It’s only important to just be who I am today, and to have the faith and confidence that we don’t have to try so hard.”
