hello! i am otherkin, so i was wondering if you knew of any resources for shifting and ur dr self being a nonhuman being like a bird or something? logically ik it is possible but im having doubts :(

I’m so sorry you are having doubts. There is definitely a significant lack of shifting advice for those who are otherkin on this site and for shifters in general. I’ve been chewing on the idea that I should make an advice guide for otherkin/those who are shifting to different beings, but I think it would be overstepping my boundaries as someone who isn’t otherkin themselves.
Rest assured that shifting to a new body, even one that may not be human, is entirely possible. However, all I can really recommend is visualization exercises and gathering reference pictures for your DRself.
If any otherkin shifters have any advice, please feel free to add on to this!
I’m otherkin! So far I’ve not managed to shift, but I do find it helps to have pictures of my shiftsona when I’m trying to shift to a different body! Other than that, otherkin shifting is the same as normal shifting, so no worries!

I need to stop making new drs every five seconds
there’s going to be an influx anti shifters through the next few weeks or whenever videos are made about reality shifters so here’s how to avoid troll blogs that will inevitably be made by assholes trying to make us look dumb.
a reality shifting troll blogs (on tumblr at least) will usually;
make a lot of their own posts, not reblog things as much
come up with stories that are just a little too extreme (ie; saying that they shifted in their first try and a BUNCH of stuff happened and they shifted for like 10 years and just came back and had crazy sex and killed draco or smthn crazy)
be kinda aggressive with their posts (ie; caps lock posts ranting about how they hate every single shifting non believer, acting like a morally superior person, just generally being way too aggressive)
make posts with a victim complex and pretending to be marginalized (ie; saying it’s a appropriation for people to day dream)
make posts talking about extreme views (advocating for others to respawn, saying that dating people in your dr is abusive, saying that going to certain dr’s is problematic)
exclusively talking about the thing they’re making the troll blog for. they won’t talk about their interests or anything outside of reality shifting
will usually have a *LOT* of labels in their description (ie; saying they’re stargender black disabled mentally ill little person plantkin demiboy panrobosexual aromantic ze/it/plant pronouns). this is because troll blogs on tumblr usually just do this because they also make fun of marginalized people
generally just say ridiculous stuff to make the community look stupid
this is not an all inclusive list and just because a blog does some of these things doesn’t necessarily mean they’re a troll blog. just be critical with the posts you engage with and block if you feel necessary. no need to make call out posts or respond to posts, just don’t give attention to people who you think might not be genuine. troll blogs are looking for attention and giving it to them will only make them keep posting
