He's carrying your bags and purse for you so you'll have two free hands while browsing. And he actually looks out for clothes you'd like too, he's not even carrying his phone with him. He just needs his card and one of your scrunchies on his wrist because he knows you're likely to sweat inside of the changing room later.

He's silently collecting the clothes you're picking on his arm, occasionally dropping some of his choices on there too.

There's also a smol water bottle tucked into his back pocket which shouldn't even fit but somehow does and makes you stare at his ass way too often. He can't have his baby girl get thirsty and have no refreshment close.

He loves how you gasp when spotting a pretty summer dress or cute heels! You get so giddy and walk away from him fast, but he never loses sight of you, not once.

Jack's favorite thing to shop for is underwear or bikinis.

Because for that, you always need his opinion and he slips behind the curtain of the changing room, backing you up against the big mirror while dropping the bags and taking a reaaally good look at you.

"Jesus, baby...you're so fucking beautiful." while his hands roam over your waist, his thumb slipping just past your cute flimsy bottoms.

"Don't you think it's too short?" Aw, you're blushing. Jack is so fucking hard.

"Too short for what? Our private pool at the air bnb with no one except us there? No, baby, it's alright." He kisses your forehead, his hand caressing your underboob that peeks out from the bra top. "You'll gonna look fucking hot, I can barely contain myself now, do you know what you'll do to me once we're on vacation?"

That bashful smile is gonna kill him.

"c'mere" and pulls you towards him and tucks his face into your neck

it doesn't matter if you're in public or not for dex to do this. when he wants you near, when he needs to be close to you, he'll whisper "c'mere," sweetly to you as he's already yarding you towards him. dex'll tuck his face into you neck and inhale, softly kissing your hair/neck and hum.

fixing/playing with your hair

it started with dex tucking your hair out of your face to see more of you. over time he got more bold, running his fingers through your hair before gently tucking it behind your ear. when he noticed you shiver as he ran both hands through your hair as he made a makeshift ponytail is what decided dex to experiment. he loves listening to your little 'mm's as he played with the hair at the nape of your neck, and just simply adores how soft your hair is.

dex who just appears in ur house randomly.

it was at night when u got home one time and was met with the sight of him just.. in ur room… organising ur clothes drawer.

you basically jumped at the sight: "What the fuck— dex! are you trying to give me a heart attack?" u huffed, hand on ur heart and clearly still recovering from the scare of a massive man (who was still suited as bullseye) in ur room at 11pm. he just looks at u with the expression of an unimpressed cat as if he’d done nothing wrong!

"your room is messy." he says. vaguely gesturing to the pile of clothes in a basket placed in the corner.

another time, you could be watching a movie, haven’t checked ur phone in a bit when u hear the sound of a window sliding open from ur bedroom. dex walking out with a bit of a concerned expression before relaxing at the sight of you, "you weren’t responding to my texts." standing by the TV as he squinted at you skeptically… as if he wasn’t literally standing next to the reason why.

"..i’m watching a movie, babe. i didn’t see the messages," sighing softly as you patted the couch, dex immediately moving to plop down next to you like an overgrown puppy.

another time, you were sleeping— trying to sleep. tossing and turning with grumbles and complaints and as if the universe was finally on ur side you heard ur bedroom door being opened gently, "mhmmn.. dex..?" u mumbled, rubbing ur eyes and rolling onto ur back. dex grunting softly in response as u heard him kick his boots off, settling beside you on the bed as he shifted you onto a more comfy position.

"baby… you can’t just keep breaking into my home."

Time passed slowly then, until the icy drops of rain stung his skin, sharp and unforgiving.

Nowadays, he shivers in reflex when there's a lot of rain outside even when he's under shelter, warm and safe.

At first he was embarrassed at the way his body reacted out of his control. He'd throw on an extra hoodie or hug his arms around his body to try and stop the shivers that wracked through him.

But Robby and Jack didn't let that go on for long.

When they're at work, whichever one he's working with will grab a jacket or a sweater or something of their own they've taken to bringing to work even on sunny days just in case (usually Robby's green fleece). Dennis is bundled in it and held for as long as they can afford before the work must go on.

At home, Dennis has a special blanket, warm and blue and covered in stars. Jack says the stars are what makes it so cozy and warm since stars are balls of fire and Dennis calls him silly but he traces the shapes of them anyway.
