I took the above portraits for a photo feature in Mass Appeal magazine in NYC during the summer of 2000. The feature was curated by graffiti artist, NYC Lase and ended up being my very first gallery show that opened in Brooklyn, April, 2001 titled "True School." Since I'm still editing images from this series these are flatbed scans from old proof sheets which is why they're a bit dusty. all images © Angela Boatwright
