( oh , he’s one of those people ... )  as if the elemental could stomach another egotistical maniac who thought he had the world at the palm of his hand with 𝐃𝐄𝐋𝐔𝐒𝐈𝐎𝐍𝐒 𝐎𝐅 𝐆𝐑𝐀𝐍𝐃𝐄𝐔𝐑 and a penchant for 𝐑𝐈𝐃𝐈𝐂𝐔𝐋𝐎𝐔𝐒 𝐑𝐇𝐄𝐓𝐎𝐑𝐈𝐂 —— she already had one in the royal family .

His snarl flexes beneath his metal face for the miniscule fractions of seconds. The name resonates abound in his mind as it leaves her lips. It’s not her intent, but the mere utterance of that name in any sort of casual utterance is an offense punishable by death in Latveria. The pure and unparalleled hatred that germinates deep within the fiery pits of Doom’s power hungry gullet– even with just the slightest mention– burns ever brighter in those amber eyes.

But he does his best not to hold it against the delegation from the moon. His arms are locked behind his back, and he meets her gaze. For the first time since her arrival in his country and his home.

“While visiting fair Latveria, and her lovely city states, it is important to note that your time here will be far more pleasant if those names do not find their way to my ears.”

and there it was —— a thinly-veiled warning that reminds crystalia amaquelin all too swiftly reminded of just how 𝐈𝐍𝐓𝐈𝐌𝐈𝐃𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐍𝐆 this man could be .  it brings her back to the first time she had stepped foot in the kingdom of latveria and encountered doom , for it had been one of her very first missions as a temporary replacement in the fantastic four .  the inhuman girl was not as familiar with him as the rest of her friends were , and her inexperience was palpable , but she had sought to be useful to johnny and sue and ben and reed .  why , if someone were to tell her over a decade later she would return to the very same place in order to delegate peace with their oftentimes enemy , she , too , would hardly believe it herself .

but crystal was no longer a childish princess who selfishly followed her heart , rather than accepting her royal duty .  it had taken her a considerable amount of time — and more than her own fair share of hardships — but she eventually had come to recognise the part she must play .

❝ then , returning back to the original subject at hand , know that the house of agon appreciates your ... generosity in receiving us . ❞  in all honestly , given her history with the certain people who shall henceforth go unnamed , she was not so sure that he would .  ❝ my sovereign wishes to improve diplomatic relations between inhumans and mankind .  you would do us a great honour if we could consider latveria an ally in matters of great import . ❞

my super villain origin fluctuates between s.ofia mantega being killed in order to be brought back and m.arvel forgetting that y.oung avenger v.ision / jonas ever existed .

𝐇𝐄 𝐇𝐀𝐃 𝐈𝐌𝐀𝐆𝐈𝐍𝐄𝐃 𝐓𝐇𝐈𝐒 𝐌𝐎𝐌𝐄𝐍𝐓 𝐎𝐕𝐄𝐑 𝐀𝐍𝐃 𝐎𝐕𝐄𝐑 𝐈𝐍 𝐇𝐈𝐒 𝐇𝐄𝐀𝐃 , had stumbled over his words in a way he never would in an operating room or a consultation , rehearsing in front of the mirror as pathetically as it sounds .  truth be told , when donald blake realised he had become his own person independent of thor or no longer a construct created to mold a god’s humility , his first thought had always , always been to go to her —— jane foster .  she had loved him as himself and she had loved him as thor ; perhaps she was the only person who saw him as his own person and not an alter-ego of the god of thunder .  it made him 𝙷𝙰𝙿𝙿𝚈 , 𝙶𝚁𝙰𝚃𝙴𝙵𝚄𝙻 , 𝚆𝙷𝙾𝙻𝙴 .  nevertheless , he had convinced himself it would be wrong to intrude upon her life , a life that had time and time again moved on without him , whether it be due to divine intervention of a god’s fickle heart .  jane was human , the best of them all , really .  she taught him , both of them , what that word truly meant and the responsibility it entailed .  she taught him how to live and she taught him how to love and she taught him how to let go —— and he was willing to let go , let go of her , if that meant she would be happy .

so one may wonder , why is he 𝐇𝐄𝐑𝐄 then ?  maybe he just wanted the closure that he never had when an asgardian was making all of his decisions .  maybe he just wanted to see how she would react , if he was ever in her thoughts .  maybe he just wanted to see her .  as selfish as that was ...

... yes , he just wanted to see her again .  one last time .

it’s been a while since she’s had a normal conversation that wasn’t bogged down by statecraft and duty , that was outside of family affairs and political agendas , that was less an order by her king or queen to be obeyed without question but an actual reciprocal dialogue between equals .

a chuckle escapes under the princess’s breath .  ❝ sounds like you and your best friend worked around your elements . ❞  and besides , what was that human saying again ?  opposites attracting ?  ❝ i work with my family these days .  it goes as well as one would expect , but family is family . ❞  years ago , she would have resisted and ran away , but she has since made peace with what is expected of her .  from time to time , her thoughts lingered on memories among the human friends or her husband from across the stars —

but crystal has since accepted the part that she had to play .  that is what it means to be 𝙿𝚁𝙸𝙽𝙲𝙴𝚂𝚂 and a member of the 𝚁𝙾𝚈𝙰𝙻 𝙵𝙰𝙼𝙸𝙻𝚈 .
