If someone says they are a man they are a man. Yamato is not a woman because he has boobs. He bathed with the men, Kaido called him his son for chrissakes.
That opinion isn’t controversial here I know, but go on Reddit and it’s a bunch of transphobes saying “I’m not transphobic or anything but Yamato is supposed to be a woman despite EVERY SINGLE PERSON IN THE SHOW referring to him as a man.”
Guess what? If a person says they’re a man, and you find a reason to not believe them, even if they’re fictional, you’re transphobic and you have some unpacking to do.
