Trying out the Imperial Milk Stout after a week carbing in the keg. 11% ABV but zero booziness coming through in the flavor. A little sweetness, a little smokiness, a hint of cinnamon on the nose. A long overdue project comes to fruition. Stainless faucets with all new lines and a yet to be installed Taprite double regulator. Cooled to 73°F and pitched one vial of ECY20 BugCounty into each, and also French Saison into one. Will be interesting to compare. These will take at least 6 months to develop Lambic-like complexity. Tried out the #jadedbrewing #hydra with @bearded_brewer. So awesome! Even only 2/3 submerged, 6.5 gallons boiling wort chilled to 65°F in 5-6 minutes! Next stop was @medusabrewing for a taste of Bad Omen (Belgian pale ale with cherries and raspberries). My custom designed counter pressure bottle filler uses a three way valve to prevent gas and liquid line from flowing into one another and in this case, one is better than two! Minimizing the number of fitting for easier take apart & cleaning/sanitizing. What $75 worth of #MeadowFoamHoney looks like. Also a big pitch of thick pure #BohemianLager yeast slurry. Pitched it all into the already fermenting #SmoresImperialMilkStout.
