That's because you haven't given me a chance yet. Yes a joy, have you got a problem with that?

It took everything Jamie had in her not to let her jaw drop to the floor, she was finding it hard herself to remember that this was all an act. His behaviour and tone of voice was just so believable that it made her wonder that if this whole scenario were actually true, would she actually forgive him. Mentally shaking her head, she practically had to scold herself at even thinking that way but it had been so long since a guy had even been that way with her that she had to resist the temptation to close her eyes. Instead she chose to scowl at him discretely in attempt to tell him he was pushing his luck. “Well how about you sleep on the sofa and I stop at Lisa’s? The only reason I’m allowing this is because I know that you have no where else and I’m not a heartless cow but there is no way I’m staying in the same place as you.” Looking over at Lisa briefly she checked to see if that was okay with her. Grabbing her friend’s hand she lead her into the kitchen and poured her a glass of wine. “I’m so sorry about this Lis”

Trying not to glare at her, through gritted teeth he replied. "Nooo, we can't bother Lisa like that. Look honestly I'll give you all the space you need, there's no need to put Lisa out. Plus didn't you mention Ellen stopping round to see you later? It's a bit too late to cancel her and you don't want to disturb Lisa's night by having guests around. Honestly babe, it'll be like I'm not even here." He tried to make it sound like her was being thoughtful towards Lisa when really he just couldn't let Jamie out of his sight.

We are going no where. I am locking myself in my room with several bottles of beer. You want a beer, go out and buy your goddamn own. I’m not risking going out with you following me about.

What I'm not cool enough to be around now?

After the week I've had, I need a good night out.

After hearing the knock at the door, the brunnette stood on her tip toes in an attempt to peer past him to see who was at the door, yet when she heard the voice of her favourite neighbour. If there was one person that she could rely on it was Lisa, smirking she wondered how he was going to get himself out of this one. Her happiness didn’t last for long though with the story that he had managed to pull from his head. He made her sound like some petty spoilt brat, it made her sound like the girls that she dispised and promised herself that she would never become but also to avoid like the plague. Jamie was going to play him at his own  game but for her, she was determined to win. Taking a deep breath to calm herself down in order for her to play her part right, she used all that anger that she had been feeling to bring on an onset of tears that she would able to use for her advantage. When she felt her eyes begin to brim with tears, Jamie stepped forward into the view of Lisa silently shaking her head and shoved him gently. “Don’t, don’t you dare try to turn this on me. How am I suppose to like the necklace when I know the real purpose behind it! You think that giving me jewellary is suppose to make up for the fact that you cheated on me? I had to find out by walking in on you and my sister in London when I came to surprise visit you. When you knew the type of relationship I had with her, how much she tries to use against me. You lead me on and made me believe that you were in love with me. I told you then and there that we were over.” Looking over to Lisa, she let a few tears fall and gave a fake but realistic sob while using her eyes to beg the woman not to leave her alone with him.

Andrew had to try and keep the smirk off of his face, he had to admit she was good. Trying to think of something to swing the situation back in his favour he let out a sigh and rubbed his forehead stepping closer to Jamie. "Babe, I've told you nothing happened. If you stuck around long enough you could've seen me push her away. I had you to come home to why would I waste my time with her. I tried calling  you countless amount of times to explain everything to you. I would never betray you like that." He replied while looking at her, before reaching out to tuck her hair behind her ear. "I've already told you I'll give you time, I'll sleep on the sofa just until you're ready to listen." He told her before turning around to Lisa. "I'm sorry you didn't need to hear all of that, can I get you a drink or something?"

Jamie was already planning several escape routes in her head and various ways on which she could attempt to get rid of the stranger but the only problem was that she had finally managed to find a place where everyone else wouldn’t find her and calling the police could change that which she seriously wanted to avoid. Jamie could feel her blood boiling and she wasn’t sure how much longer she could keep control of her temper without her lashing out drastically, there was something about his words and his whole attitude that completely ticked her off. “Excuse me?! Look Andrew or whoever you are, I don’t know what my dad has told you but you aren’t staying here. I don’t need or want your help so you can go back to whoever you work for and tell them to shove it. I’ve lived and taken care of myself since I was eighteen so I don’t know why all of a sudden I need some hairless ape following me around who is going to stick out like a sore thumb and get me noticed more then I should.”

Andrew tried not to look too shocked when he heard Jamie's reply, she was feistier then he thought. Max did warn him that she had sharp tongue but he didn't really know if he was just being dramatic. He frowned slightly at the hairless ape comment, he usually prided himself on his stealth. "Sorry Princess but I wasn't really asking, I've been asked to do a job and hell if I let you stop me doing it. Like I said say what you wan-" Andrew was interrupted by a knock at the door. Sighing he looked at Jamie "We'll finish this conversation in a minute" He said before walking over to the door. He opened the door to a smaller woman who looked slightly confused. "Hey, I'm Lisa from next door. I heard some raised voices and just came to check on Jamie, you know with a car parked outside which I didn't recognise and then the shouting I wasn't sure what was going on. Is she here?" Andrew tried not to roll his eyes at the older woman in front of him. Sure it was sweet that she was looking out for the girl but her voice was sickly and annoying. Putting a smile on his face, he looked down at the woman."Yeah I understand it was nice of you to come check on Jamie, but it's just a lovers spat turns out she didn't like necklace I brought her back from London, I was there on business for a while hence the suit. I was there for about a month must be why I haven't met you before.. You can come in and check on her if that will make you feel better though." He said opening the door wider so she could see Jamie. He wasn't dumb he knew it was her actual neighbor and the background check he ran on her came up clear.

Jamie was about to continue on with her rant when his words finally sunk in and began to register what he meant causing her eyes to widen in horror and her face to flush red in anger. “No.. no no no no. He didn’t. He wouldn’t.” She began to chant to herself not expecting any reply. Looking up at him with her eyes full of accusation “He hired you didn’t he? He hired you to protect me didn’t he? Well I got news for you pal, I don’t need your help. I can look after myself so do me a favour and don’t let the door hit you on the way out.”

Andrew could tell she was going to be hard to keep and eye as soon as he saw the realisation hit her. She obviously wasn't happy about having someone follow her everywhere. "So he has mentioned it, well at least you're not totally clueless." He replied feeling a bit relieved that he didn't have to explain it all to her. "Look I'm doing this whether you like it or not, to be frank I'm too tired to argue with you so I suggest you suck it up and stop whining because nothing you say is going to make me leave, trust me I've had enough experience with whiny ass bitches nothing you do or say is going to convince me to leave.

As soon as she saw his foot move to block her she felt a small amount of panic begin to rise in her, rufusing to let it show Jamie continued with the brave front she was putting on. Placing her hands on her waist” You need to leave now!” A brief look of shock passed over her face at his actions which soon turned into pure anger. She couldn’t believe the cheek of the man, who did he think he was just bargeing into her home like this without a care in the world. Slamming her door shut, she stormed over to stand in front of him with her arms crossed over her chest. “I’m sorry. Just who do you think you are? You can’t barge in here like this. Now, I want you to tell me what the hell is going on. You have about two seconds before I call the police and that will be after I kick your ass!”

A smirk came to Andrew's face as he watched Jamie rant. He couldn't help but notice how hot she looked when she was angry. "Sorry no can do princess, I have a job to do." He replied looking at her with a big grin on his face, he could tell he was going to have fun winding the smaller girl up. As she crossed her arms over her chest he couldn't help but let his eyes wonder to her breasts. Smirking knowing he was getting under her skin he chuckled. "Kick my ass? Good luck with that lady."

Hearing this caused the brunette’s eyebrows to furrow in confusion. The last time Jamie had spoken to her father was a few months back which had only ended up with the two of them arguining about her moving back home but she couldn’t recall anything been mentioned, she hadn’t ever heard her father ever talk about an Andrew. “Nope, I’ve never heard of you.  I think you’ve got the wrong person.” Not trusting him or having anything else that she wanted to say, she went to close her door on him.

Andrew sighed before forcing a smile on his face. "Great" He muttered. Slipping his foot in the gap to stop her shutting the door on him, he tried to say calm looking at the girl in front of him. "Look you may want to call Max" He replied before gently pushing the door open but with enough force to make the girl move. Brushing past her he walked inside. He walked into what looked like the living room. Looking back at the now shocked brunette he called "You may want to shut that, you're letting the draft in"

It took a few seconds for it to sink in and for Jamie to realise that this stranger who was stood in front of her, knew her name when she didn’t have a clue as to who he was. Staring at him suspiciously, she felt her usual defences fall back into place, wiping the smile of her face and replacing it with a slight scowl and a raised eyebrow. Using her one hand that was still holding onto the door she closed in the gap slightly blocking of his view to her apartment but also making it easier for her to close the door quickly if the need should arise.  “Yes actually you are. How do you know my name? Who are you?”

Andrew could practically see the girl's defense barriers rise as she closed the gap with her arm while scowling. The corners of his mouth lifted up into a small smile as he noticed how adorable the brunette was acting. He was glad he was dealing with someone with common sense though. "Oh yeah sorry, I'm Andrew. I'm sure your dad has spoken to you." He responded hoping that this whole situation wasn't all a big surprise for her.

Jamie was in the middle of completing her latest course assignment for uni and all her outstanding research tasks that needing doing in preperation for the oncoming week when her favourite song began to play from her ipod causing her to pull out of the train of thought. Smiling happily she stood up to higher up the volume dancing stupidly around the room, glad for the break. It was at this point that she heard the knock to her apartment door. Thinking it was her bestfriend who she had previously arranged to have a girls night in with, Jamie carried on dancing over to the door singing as she opened it.

Hiding a smirk at the girl's dancing and singing Drew coughed trying to hide his laughter. He saw a blush rush to the girl's cheeks as realisation dawned upon her. Ignoring her question he decided to tease her a little first.
