“You are the most stubborn, headed man ever but I love you for it. You know what, if you really think  we can do it then fine let’s go for it. Let’s have a baby. I’ve never been able to  say no to you. This is what you really want?”

I was kidding dude, no need to look so serious and glum.

   " Pick your poison, then.      I’m not sure I’d call it ‘flattery’, though. It’s more like 'plain honesty’.      Oh really? Too bad I will have to let those admirers down for the time being.      You’re keeping me way too entertained here. “

“I think I’ll go with a scotch. Well either way, odds are working in your favour. Yep, it looks like a few of them are rather catty as well. Well I feel honored. I think I’m gonna take that as a compliment so I’m glad I could help.”

“Fine. Talk.”

“This-- God, before I came here I had this whole speech planned out in my head but now I’m actually here... I’d drawing a blank.”

“Yeah well, you just look like you need something is all.” He shifted on his feet and cocked a brow as he looked at the petite brunette, it was fun watching her get offensive. “Never mind. Forget I said anything.” He couldn’t help but laugh under his breath.

“Not sure what I could need in the middle of the woods.. well, unless I was burying a body. Which I’m totally not, I swear!” Emma’s eyes widened realising what she had actually just insinuated. Seeing him laugh at her caused the girl to let out a small huff and cross her arms over her chest scowling childishly. “I’m glad I’m entertaining you.” She replied with a raised brow, a small smirk involuntary forming on her face.

“I think I will,” she nodded. "Don’t deprive the world of your face. Besides, who else am I going to go out on the town with?” She tilted her head back and laughed. “Mortally. I hope he can find the tools to survive.” she reiterated, playing along in line with her theatrics. She typed the number into her phone, and after a few rings, spoke. “Hey, buddy.” She attempted to feign as much enthusiasm as she could while still harboring a hangover. “It’s Nivine. Friend of Naomi’s? Two adorable girls you met last night?” She paused, listening to his voice. “Oh, no, sorry. She’s not with me. She’s terribly busy. Actually she’s on a plane out of the country.” She flashed a grin towards Naomi. The girl loved to improvise. “And we forgot to mention, she’s, um, recently engaged.” She was forced to cover her mouth to hinder a laugh. “A joke? No! Do you think I’d stoop to a prank call?” She mouthed the word ‘yes’ to Naomi before conjuring up an excuse to hang up on the now thoroughly confused man, finally letting out a burst of laughter. “Yep. He’s in love with you.”

“It would be a great loss, wouldn’t it? Oh I see, that’s all I’m good for thanks.” Naomi never once thought that her best friend would actually go through with it, which was on her part slightly stupid knowing that given the chance of course Nivine would phone him after all if the roles were reversed she would be doing the same thing. That’s just how their friendship worked, if a situation presented itself where one could embarrass the other then either of them took it without a second thought. In a last ditch attempt, she tried to dive for the phone to stop the call from being made, only to slump in her seat groaning in self pity. “Psh as if I’d care, s’not like I’m ever gonna see him again.” Hearing the conversation Naomi had to cover her mouth to keep from bursting out laughing and giving the whole game away, biting her lip so hard to nearly draw blood she struggled to contain herself at each excuse the other gave. “Oh my god, you’re going to hell and dragging me with you. That was brilliant! Oh my god, I thought I was going to pee myself from laughing so much. Course he loves me, I’m amazing... You are kidding though, right?” She sobered up laughing as thought actually settled in.
