This sounds like a shitpost but people should be allowed to be horny. As in, sexuality is just part of life for most people and thereâs no reason for consensual sexual behavior to be punished. A celebrity getting âcaughtâ at a sex club shouldnât be a scandal. No one should be fired for having a fetlife profile outside of work. Nudes getting leaked shouldnât be career-ending. Denying and hiding (consensual) sexual interests doesnât make anyone more professional, it just makes everyone more repressed. And sterilizing ourselves to be better work drones isnât productive, itâs just creepy. Iâd rather my surgeon get absolutely railed on camera and come to work in a good mood, frankly.
also this goes without saying but is also true of ppl who do sex work for used to do sex work. an accountantâs boss finding out that they used to do sex work shouldnât be a career ender. a restaurant worker shouldnât be fired bc they have an OnlyFans.
A discussion was brought up on Reddit about symbols for BIPOC Ace and aro ppl
Iâm just gonna focus on Black ace symbols for this post, but if any black ace wants to add any ideas in the notes feel free to.
I like the idea of a Black ace version of indigo fingers and Elukami for Gullah Geechee and Soulaani aces. I also like the idea of sweet potato variants being used as a symbol since a lot of Black cultures use them.
Another Black ace symbol I thought of is a hibiscus flower since hibiscus is a plant that has importance throughout the African diaspora. For example, using this guide:
Purple hibiscus: General symbol for Black aces no matter the romantic orientation or asexual identity(thereâs even a variety called Mr. Ace)
Yellow hibiscus: Aromantic Black Aces
Red hibiscus: Sex favorable and romance favorable Black aces
Pink hibiscus: Platonic Black Aces
Orange hibiscus: Aspec Black Aces
Blue hibiscus: Sex unfavorable and romance unfavorable Black aces
White hibiscus: Alloromantic Black Aces
Peach hibiscus: Sex neutral and romance neutral Black aces
Multicolored hibiscus: A mix of the descriptions I did a above. For example, Iâm asexual demiromantic so Iâd be a purple yellow hibiscus/Night runner hibiscus

I am hoping to collect several thousand such posts, so that I have a decent sized dataset. I do not care what the post is about; if it's labeled as "mature content", I want to add it to my dataset.
If I get 10,000 posts in my dataset before August 31st 2026, I will post my preliminary findings then. I won't feel comfortable calling my findings "settled" before 2027, unless I get over 50,000 posts.

My best advice for people new to adulthood: keep emergency food around.
I don't mean like those prepper type people. I mean keep a granola bar in your purse or backpack. If you have a car, keep a jar of peanuts in there.
This is good for if you miss your bus, or forget your wallet somewhere, or get stuck in traffic. You never know when you are going to feel shaky, and it's better to have something quick and easy on hand, in case you need it.
Having emergency food around is your best friend. Trust me.
