This sounds like a shitpost but people should be allowed to be horny. As in, sexuality is just part of life for most people and there’s no reason for consensual sexual behavior to be punished. A celebrity getting “caught” at a sex club shouldn’t be a scandal. No one should be fired for having a fetlife profile outside of work. Nudes getting leaked shouldn’t be career-ending. Denying and hiding (consensual) sexual interests doesn’t make anyone more professional, it just makes everyone more repressed. And sterilizing ourselves to be better work drones isn’t productive, it’s just creepy. I’d rather my surgeon get absolutely railed on camera and come to work in a good mood, frankly.
also this goes without saying but is also true of ppl who do sex work for used to do sex work. an accountant’s boss finding out that they used to do sex work shouldn’t be a career ender. a restaurant worker shouldn’t be fired bc they have an OnlyFans.

A discussion was brought up on Reddit about symbols for BIPOC Ace and aro ppl
I’m just gonna focus on Black ace symbols for this post, but if any black ace wants to add any ideas in the notes feel free to.
I like the idea of a Black ace version of indigo fingers and Elukami for Gullah Geechee and Soulaani aces. I also like the idea of sweet potato variants being used as a symbol since a lot of Black cultures use them.
Another Black ace symbol I thought of is a hibiscus flower since hibiscus is a plant that has importance throughout the African diaspora. For example, using this guide:
Purple hibiscus: General symbol for Black aces no matter the romantic orientation or asexual identity(there’s even a variety called Mr. Ace)
Yellow hibiscus: Aromantic Black Aces
Red hibiscus: Sex favorable and romance favorable Black aces
Pink hibiscus: Platonic Black Aces
Orange hibiscus: Aspec Black Aces
Blue hibiscus: Sex unfavorable and romance unfavorable Black aces
White hibiscus: Alloromantic Black Aces
Peach hibiscus: Sex neutral and romance neutral Black aces
Multicolored hibiscus: A mix of the descriptions I did a above. For example, I’m asexual demiromantic so I’d be a purple yellow hibiscus/Night runner hibiscus

Hello, tumblr! I saw something on here the other day that worried me, so I decided to Do Science about it. But I can't do it alone: I need your help to build the dataset!
Here's what I need you to do:

I am hoping to collect several thousand such posts, so that I have a decent sized dataset. I do not care what the post is about; if it's labeled as "mature content", I want to add it to my dataset.
If I get 10,000 posts in my dataset before August 31st 2026, I will post my preliminary findings then. I won't feel comfortable calling my findings "settled" before 2027, unless I get over 50,000 posts.
My best advice for people new to adulthood: keep emergency food around.
I don't mean like those prepper type people. I mean keep a granola bar in your purse or backpack. If you have a car, keep a jar of peanuts in there.
This is good for if you miss your bus, or forget your wallet somewhere, or get stuck in traffic. You never know when you are going to feel shaky, and it's better to have something quick and easy on hand, in case you need it.
Having emergency food around is your best friend. Trust me.

ok i was VERY involved in the. b&n reviews warrior cats roleplay scene when i was like 10-12. the first two books of the series were general hubs where ppl would post ads for their clans and other groups. there was a huge percy jackson community i remember participating in too. it worked through search results, eg. riverclan might be under the search result “rivers”. book 1 was rules and a “map”, book 2 might be the main area, book 3 the medicine cats tent, etc. there was also usually a book where ppl would post lengthy descriptions of their character(s). it was a rlly bizarre little corner of the internet jdksj also it was impossible to find any real reviews of any of the warrior cats books bc of it
I rbed this silently but I think I've gotta answer some questions now. I was a big part of this whole thing and the reason we didn't use forums was because 90% of us didn't have normal internet access. Barnes and Noble had an e-reader that could connect to the internet and reach their digital store, which was great for those of us with controlling parents who only let us read books.
