Today my 6mo old had a check up.

He is a whopping,

20lbs 7.8oz

Doc says he is as physically advanced as a 9mo old.😍😭

They grow so fast!

Is strictly breastfed

Army crawls, planks, sits unsupport

LOVES playing with Momma and Daddy

Has 2 teeth

Still wakes to nurse at night

Where are you, lover?

I miss you.

Vanished.

Now I'm back.

To breathe.

When will I finally breathe?

I am searching for air.

Just one breath.

That's all I need.

Rubble.

Keeps falling.

I am being crushed.

I want to sit up.

I want to stand up and open my lungs.

But I can't.

I'm stuck.

Suffocating.

Crying.

Begging for a weight to be lifted.

Begging for that breath.

To feel safe again.

Safe from pain.

Loss.

Safe from bad thoughts.

The thoughts of losing it all.

My family.

My life...

I'm scared.

Scared of losing.

Losing my loved ones.

My son.

I need to breathe fresh air again.

I need that breath of comfort.

I'm going to be suffocated.

My lungs are tired.

My head as week.

My heart wants to quit trying.

Sleep.

Sleep is what my body says.

It's hard to breathe.

So sleep.

The deepest sleep will give you the longest rest.

No one can breathe without air.

Under all this rubble,

There is no air.

Every brick weighing tons.

Every wound branded it to ever break.

Every struggle.

Every challenge.

Every obstacle to come.

Burned into bricks.

Piled on top of me.

If you cannot breathe,

Sleep…

Right?

Where else can you rest your tired lungs?

Your hurting heart?

Your worried brain?

Sleep..

Your deepest sleep…

It would be so easy.

To just..

Fall.

Fall into that sweet, deep, sleep.

Ease.

Ease would come.

Relief from this weight.

All these bricks piled up,

Would vanish.

The escape into sleep,

Would let me breathe again.

With no weights.

Sleep...

Is sleep my escape to full lungs?

To an empty mind?

When is the last brick falling?

Will they stop?

Or will I run out of air?

Will I fall?

Will I fall into that deep sleep?

The sleep so desperately calling my name?

My body wants it.

My brain wants it.

My lungs,

Want it...

Sleep..

Release..

Air..

Relief...

Will I fall?

I don't like not knowing..

Maybe jump?

Instead of waiting to fall.

These bricks are heavy.

I don't want to feel anymore..

I want to sleep....
