Candles aren't necessarily needed, but they do help me feel more connected within my practice whenever I'm having a bad day. I light all of Lucifer's candles, give him some few smaller ones to set in the candle holders on his altar and it helps me feel more grounded and centered. It makes me feel like he's just watching me do my stuff throughout the day
