Im going to share with yall some Self-indulgent musings for what would be Leo's Elite specialization: Medius
Medius, Revenants and Ritualists are two sides of the same coin with one very distinct difference:
Revenants rely on embodying/summoning powerful, specific legends from the mists
Ritualists rely on summoning from the mists with a focus on ancestral spirits.
Medius work in tandem with ghosts who have not yet passed, with a heavy emphasis on Spectral magic.
All specializations have overlapping similarities, but Medius have stronger ties to the ambient spectral energy of the world, in which they constantly are in communion with restless spirits.
Unlike Ritualists, also, These spirits are Primarily Passive in nature, and aren't used offensively. Its a symbiotic relationship: Spirits provide points of inspiration, sight, defense/ buffs, but it's through the Medius' source of spectral magic (also given to them by ghosts) where their offensive capabilities come into play. By entering The Spectral Communion state, the medius is able to soak up sorrounding spectral energy to unleash upon their foes, while drastically increasing the passive abilities of the spirits assisting them.
Outside of combat, Due to their unique relationship with spectral magic, Medius' are able to hear the chatter of ghosts who cannot be seen and usually cannot be heard othertherwise. In my mind this would manifest in game as maybe occasional whispers, but mostly normal specific flags like a man commenting he used to grow flowers in a particular area, or a woman saying a ruin once had a painting she liked to admire hung upon it. In Leo's lore, he is able to essentially tune in and out of the spectral world almost like a radio, most of the time its just...normal people talking. Less Of the revenant's legends specific comments, and more of things you'd hear from the everday person, on top of warnings or spirits looking our for him like letting him know if the ground is uneven or if a bridge is particularly unsteady.
I don't have lore about its origins yet, and if Anything I can just make it something Leo invented since its very specific to his lore...but yeah! I know it has a lot of overlapping similarities With Ritualist, but it can be the Tyrian equivalent to cantha's stuff...also Reiterating that its less mist related than it is ghosts still roaming tyria.
