COLOR WONDER

She would love to learn more about diffferent mediums of art. Her artwork is rather biased in the medium of oil paintings so she would like to get more information about the workings of possibly using clays or pencils more. In today’s art scene there's a lot of people using markers so she would like to try to develop her skills in those areas. Eun-ji sees herself as constantly learning, about everything and anything regarding the world. 

Parenting skills and several other things pertaining to her at home life would be something she would like to expand on. Eun-ji sees herself as a decent parent but she would love to improve to give Jin-ah the best chance in life she could possibly have. Maybe developing her discipline and life lessoning skills. She doesn’t want to do the same mistakes her parents made by trying to her cold or anything. She adores her lovely-bubbly girl and would do anything to better her life.

he nods slightly in agreement, his name was indeed not as problematic as his dear brother but it was enough to stir a few people in the wrong direction. as the other continued to speak, he couldn’t help but let the tail of his lips lift, edging to their corners. to a degree, he agreed. that minah, was a peculiar one, she often prided herself in many qualities that were rather laughable, he wasn’t sure what his brother saw in that woman, but he supported jin throughout all his decisions… even the utterly stupid ones. 

he retaliates to her comment with a mere raise of his brows, shaking his head, suppressing the repulsive expression threatening to surface on his features, “immaturity isn’t something i find attractive.” he echoes her chuckle, “her son… does he not have a striking resemblance to our dearly beloved kang jin?” he immediately raises his hand, beckoning for her to cease her reaction and listen to his explanation, “before he met you, they were a little couple. i’m sure this is something he has told you, anyhow… she was later traded off to kim hyunki, that old man that ran a shit tonne of restaurants here in wonyang. it was assumed that kang jinoh was his son, but evidently why would the boy carry the name kang?” his hand lowers, “unless like you said, she’s so utterly stupid that she had forgotten her own husband’s name. ahh, but wait…” a finger raises this time, “with my years by the side of changmin, i’ve learnt many things about this woman. most importantly, that son isn’t hyunki’s… she’s said it herself to me when i returned to wonyang.” he leans back, arms retracting before him, “i’m sure you’re able to put the pieces together? although, i’m sure this isn’t news to you, jin must’ve told you…?”

The female drank from her cup as she listened to him, “You got to poke a little fun sometimes, can’t be stiff all the times.” Her voice was full of amusement which quickly faded as he continued on with his news. She was going to interrupt, however, she stopped her tongue when his hand appears, deciding to settle back, her nerves starting to come undone. It was a lie if she said the thought never crossed her mind - especially when she saw the dragon’s picture in the other’s apartment. The business woman’s emotions were coming to the center-front of her mind, however, she couldn’t let that be seen. Hurt washed over her, it was the fact it was actually being spoken. The female took another sip of her wine, finishing the glass before setting it down on the table. “Well, this woman is utterly stupid.” Her voice dripped with anger, her composure failing at the moment. “How stupid would she be to -” she let out a huff looking off to the side, picking a spot on the wall to relax, she did not need to have an episode in here. She lets a soft sigh, her mind trying to wrap around the information.  “Honestly, this is something I’ve known for some time.” She looked towards him once more “Why is if of great importance to you? It’s nothing of your concern.” A soft chuckle fell through her lips as a hand came up to push her hair behind her ear. “So, she has a kid, that might be Jin’s but is there any proof of that? How do you know she just isn’t stupidly and helplessly in love with a taken man and trying to worm her way in so she made this awful story to boot.”

          He has grown more conscious of how he treated his family, it happened shortly after the arrival of his brother. he felt threatened, despite his brother attempting to prove to him that he was nothing more but a blood related person here to assist in the shortcomings of the dragons. his brother has more experience than he does, having controlled and held the dragon’s for a longer time than he himself, had breathed in his presence. yet, the threats didn’t come lightly, he couldn’t measure how much time he would have left with the other looming over his shoulder. his gaze follows her frame, noticing the drop in mood, tension almost rising to his ankles. a hand comes up to rake through blonde strands as an exhalation leaves from down turned lips. he gets up from his position, ❝ i’m going to get changed into something more suitable. ❞ he moves out of the room, and to his own getting changed before returning. he sits down in his prior placement, pulling his sweats to his knees, as he pushes the sleeves of his jumper back up to the crevice of his elbow, reaching for the red paint as he squeezed some out onto the tray beside him, a hand comes to rest on the cold substance before smothering the paper that was taped down earlier to the floor. ❝ give it a try jinah, you too babe. ❞ he let’s out absentmindedly as he moves to get more colours onto the tray.

Her eyes watch him as he leaves to change his clothes - something she was going to suggest to the other. The woman bit the inside of her cheek and looked down at her own clothing, she already adorned her crafting clothes, considering her and Jin-ah were already playing with her supplies just a bit earlier. “Jin-ah” she speaks sweetly to her daughter, a smile pressing to the child’s cheek as they begin picking out their colors, waiting for Jin to return. She lets the male take over as he starts to place out the colors, opting to putting her arm up in a ponytail with the elastic she has on her wrist. A soft smile plays on her lips as she watches Jin-ah dive into painting with her fingers, paying no mind to how dirty she’ll get. “Alright.” She speaks to him directly, meeting his eyes for the first time in a few minutes. Though she wanted to be cross with him, she did not want to ruin the family fun. With a pointed finger, she dips into a blue color, one of her favorites to paint with, before going to work on creating a flower on the page. “What are you going to draw, love?” Her voice is light, with a hint of tiredness laced within, eyes staying focused on her work - much like they always are when she’s painting. Regardless of the piece is for personal enjoyment or not, the female often finds herself absorbed into her artwork. A habit she had developed as a child and held onto far into adulthood. “What are you going to paint? It seems as if Jin-ah is going for a picture of us.” A gentle, happy laugh follows as she catches her daughter's cute painting start to take small shape. “Is that right?” This earns her a quick nod as the girl goes to work painting with her digits. 

The Wonyang Ilbo newsroom is a birdcage with too many birds. Noisy, messy, overcrowded and more often than not organized chaos. Though it’s usually an environment that Jihun thrives in (and indeed one that he’s spent months cultivating), there are still days when it feels like a prison. No matter what the inside looks like, or how comfortable you make it feel, a cage is still a cage. He hates days like today, when he’s shackled to the desk in his private office dealing with corporate bigwigs instead of creating content. It’s a job that has to be done though, and so he smiles through every meeting, is cordial through every conference call and by his standards at least, polite in every email. As the hours pass the monotony of the tasks begin to take their toll, and he can feel his willpower draining as he shifts into autopilot. 

The sound of the door swinging open is enough to break that monotony up. He looks away from his screen, ready to chastise whichever unlucky junior employee has decided to burst in unannounced. Eyebrows furrow when he takes in the figure, unfamiliar at first and then… it clicks. Not a member of his own staff, but an employee of the news station. Eunji. The woman that always seems to be one step ahead, to get the exclusive on every major story that’s hit in the past six months before he can even get a whiff of it. He goes to speak, to demand that she leaves his office, but before the words can escape she’s slumped on the ground.

And so instead he simply fixes her with a steely glare, any focus on his earlier work now completely vanished. What was this? Why was she even on this floor, let alone in his office? Is she okay? Should I call someone? None of the answers come, so he settles for leaning back in his chair and watching on with a mixture of concern and intrigue. That quickly morphs back into the usual prickly irritation as she rises to her feet and addresses him. Perhaps he would have been willing to turn a blind eye, but her final words are enough to convince him otherwise. He doesn’t take kindly to intimidation. The sheer nerve. “Or, alternatively, I saw you fall into my office and collapse to the ground.” He answers matter of factly. “Care to explain what you want, or what the hell that was about?”

The simple tone of his voice earns him an exaggerated annoyed sigh accompanied by an eye roll. A manicured hand comes to rest on her hip as she starts to recompose herself, even though her breathing is still rather labored the woman tries her best to come back to what she believes is her true self. Her professional self. Falling slightly for a moment she lets the question hang in the air as she thinks over her options of how to approach this situation. Though it just feels bad as she cannot call her friend to calm her down, something she needed in his moment. “Listen.” The voice comes out full of annoyance with mild exhaustion. “I was -- having a moment. Perfectly normal, I just couldn’t make it to my floor after handing some business down here, I honestly don’t understand how you all still have a floor, but that’s beside the point.” Gentle jabs were her defense when been cornered and at the moment she felt very much cornered and scared. “I decided to hop in the janitors closet - which I’m surprised to see you actually doing your job in here.” The woman let out a low chuckle before recrossing her arms to hide the fact her breath was picking back up - it was going to happen again unless she relaxed completely.

However, Eun-ji couldn’t leave after he witnessed that, no one could know about her moderate panic attacks that seemed to be getting rather more intense as of late. “You didn’t see anything anyways, there's no proof of me coming in here so why should I worry if you do tell anyone. “ Another sigh falls from her lips as she runs her hands through her hair. Her outside image slowly fading as it was hard to keep up when your mind was racing. “I really don’t want anything from you.” her voice was rather cold and breathless. “I really don’t want to need anything from you ever.”

What is your School, House and year? Do you have a sense of House pride?

"I reside in the best school in the world. Ilvermorny - I’m also a 7th year Thunderbird house. “ Her mouth curved up into a bright smile as she pushed her hair behind her ears. “How could you not have pride in a house named after such a beautiful creature. I’m also seeker for the house Quidditch team, so I have quite a bit of house pride. We are the best after all full of soul, adventure and strength”

What character traits does your muse have in relation to their House? Which are different?

“Many say us thunderbirds are very adventureous - I personally love traveling. I tend to on my free times take several trips to see the world. I’ve been visited that other lack-luster school in Europe.” She chuckles, shaking her head, “Though I do believe I have more pride in me than most other house members, we can’t all be the same.”

What is your blood status? How do you feel about other blood statuses?

“I’m fullblood, but what does it matter? I honestly don’t see no problem in muggle borns studying along with us. I find them to be some of the more -- interesting of our classmates.” Eun-ji lets out a small laugh, crossing her arms. “ I may have dated a few Muggle-borns in the past, but it doesn’t really matter. If they’re great wizards who cares.”

What is your wand type?

“11 inches long and made of holly with a phoenix feather core” She pulls it out showcasing it with a proud smile. “I’ve cast some very -- powerful spells with this one. It’s pretty fitting don’t you think?”

What is your pet?

“A white cat -- “ She speaks, picking up her fluffy cat placing it on her lap, before petting gently. “Her name is Jin-ah and she is rather smart, helps me with quite a few things. You know?”

Are you a Prefect or Head Boy/Girl?

“I am not, but I am perfect.” She laughs softly, holding her cat to her chest as she does.”I’m kidding, just jokes.”

Do you play Quidditch? If so, what is your position?

The woman held onto a large box containing several different art pieces of hers along with decorations she had made for the market shop. The cold air made it hard for her to move - living seven years in South Korea and she was still not used to snow. She was a California girl at heart. Her eyes closed momentarily as she stood, literally frozen in front of the booth. Why she decided to do this was beyond her. Yes, she loved giving to charity but it had been so long since she had sold her own artwork to a collector, much less on the street market. After gaining the job at the news station some years ago she had lost confidence in her art, thus her creations piling up in her private studio. Sighing, the woman set down the box on the table, which seemed to be empty - of course, she was there too early. The woman rubbed her hands together before walking around to the other side of the table to begin pulling things out of the box, setting them neatly on the table. Honestly, she did not know how much she should sell her art for now, however she’d take any price as the proceeds were going to charity. The woman was deep in her task until she pulled out a painted glass ball that happened to roll off the table on to the ground. This, of course, had to be the time someone was walking by. “Hey! wait ! there's glass !” she shouts, moving quickly from her spot to try to stop the person from crushing the art piece and hurting themselves. 

The woman was listening to a little girl who was telling her or more like ranted to her about a little kid who pulled her hair and ignored her, it was cute how the little girl did mimic of the whole thing, hae nodded and conforted her by saying that she would talk to the boy and he would apologize which made the girl happy and as she was skipping away a voice called her name making her look up with a bright smile. “Eun-ji!” She greeted happily as she walked closer.

“You are trully an angel” Hae praised her as she listened to her, a huge smile grew on her face at the idea she had. It was a wonderful idea! Hae loved it and she found herself nodding eagerly at her words. “Oh my! I love the idea!” She was sure that the kids would love to get something this christmas and they all had been so good this year. “If you want I can make some calls too, I know a few people who would be interested in being sponsors!.”

A smile plays on her lips - head shaking in response. “I’m no angel, just trying to help.” Eun-ji thought nothing of helping people, it was just part of her nature many overlooked. Several only saw the cold natured woman which wasn’t the true her. However, she didn’t mind just as long as people like Haewon got along with her she was fine. “You know what would be cute? Is if at the market we could get some of the kids to sing songs. There's a stage there, it would probably make some of our musically inclined friends here excited.”  The woman clapped her hands, the sounded dulled by the notepad between her hands. “ That is if you’re okay with that.” Her voice was soft as she spoke to her friend. Eun-ji didn’t have many but she considered Haewon one, considering the fact they shared the love of helping those in need.

“Maybe we can partner up with Wish for Wonyang? I know the shelter I run has a partnership I could try to get you partnered as well. If you want ?” The woman nodded, smiling a bit. “How about we discuss all this over lunch? I haven’t eaten all day. We can pick up the supplies for the orphanage while we’re out too.”

he always liked the other’s attitude, albeit not her presence within the life of his brother. he valued her wit and quickness to adapt to such situations as this. comparable to that of even their grandmother. a wise woman who shared many things except for her taste in the hidden, secrets that lacerated the very surface of her skin, a thin veil of salted enigma, imprinted deeply across her bleached bones. a truly magnificent human being. her words only trigger the slight pull of his lips, “sharp, although…” he compliments her, stringing along the extra words, “a list is but a sheet of paper, is it not?” his head tilts slightly, stygian hues move to meet with hers again, “if my name were on any of the dragon’s listings, it would be very problematic.” his hand moves, index finger comes to rest on his temple, “that aside. are you familiar with a minah? not our kang minah.” finger beginning to tap gently against his temple, “to think changmin thought of her as our next minah…” his head shakes a little, a smile appearing more genuine than the last. if there was one thing he wished he had knew of first, it would have been how truly merciless their grandfather is.

♛ — He was running late that morning, which meant he was grumpier than normal. Taeyong hated running late. Not that he looked like he was running late- his hair was well groomed, his suit wrinkle free and tailored to his form. But internally he felt rushed. All thanks to his lack of secretary. However there was little he could do about the matter except sip his coffee and looked through his meetings for the day. 

♛ — A sigh escaped him when he saw that it was time for his yearly meeting with Eunji. She came off so cold- Taeyong was last to admit he did as well- and something about her simply ruffled his feathers. But their business relationship was profitable, and he was nothing if not a business man. ❝Good morning, Miss Eunji.❞ There was no pleasantries beyond the polite tone to his voice.  ❝I don’t understand why you couldn’t simply send it via courier. There is little to no reason to come yourself every year.❞

The sound of his voice was enough to make her sigh, as she settled down in the chair in front of his desk, bag going to rest on her lap. Oh did she wish she did not have to deal with him, especially now with her current state - but it was something she prided herself on, being there with every deal that had her name on it. “Listen. Taeyong.” The formalities were dropped as she was growing annoyed. Couldn’t he just sign without opening his mouth to say some smart comment? “I don’t know how you handle business, and frankly I don’t care. However, I keep a hands-on approach to my work, anything that says SONG EUN-JI, I’m there for it. Which is why I never have screw ups in my businesses. Now can you say the same?” A smirk played on her lips as she rests her cheek on her hand. “I know you don’t like seeing me, but its only once a year - or whenever you turn on the news. But I’m sure men like you don’t watch informative programming, now do you?” A soft chuckle leaves her lips, “Just sign the papers and if you have any issues we can discuss them.”

          He nods, a smile tugging onto his corners, an arm swoops down picking her up as the other moves to secure her back and shoulders, cradling her in between his arms, bridal style carrying her down the hallway. he turns back to jinah, ❝ come on jinah, let’s go paint some stuff with mom in her art room. it’ll get too messy here in the living room. ❞ jinah excitedly clapping her hands together, leaping to cling onto his right leg, earning a genuine laugh that from his lips. ❝ i’m not strong enough to carry your mom and have you climbing on my leg, jinah. ❞ as he drags himself to their art room, letting eunji down before swooping jinah up into his embrace, ❝ i saw a video of this family doing hand paintings, maybe we could do one and hang it up somewhere… ❞ he mumbles to himself, tossing jinah over his shoulder again as he looks around the room, finding an appropriate spot to set up the huge rolled up piece of paper he had purchased prior after his research on family bonding times on google. he moves to the corner of the room, grabbing the rolled up paper, setting jinah down as he tells her to step onto the edge of the paper and tape it down to the floor as he stretched out the rest of it. it was a 2m by 1m roll of paper, taping down the edges to the floor to secure it. ❝ get the paint. ❞ he snaps his fingers out of habit, before remembering he wasn’t addressing a dragon, but his partner. he nervously rubs at his temples, getting up from his squatting position, ❝ i… i mean– sorry. ❞ 

A surprised noise fell through her lips, holding on to him tightly to avoid falling to the ground. “Ah ! Kang Jin !’ Her voice came out through laughs as she rests her head against his shoulder. Only laughing more once shes set down, watching her family interact in front of her. “Ah, hand painting is always fun, Maybe when we’re done we can frame it and hang it in here. I’m sure I can clear a space.” A simple nod follows as she watches them spread out the paper, her mind going to what would be some non-toxic paints that they could use. Unfortunately, she was pulled from her thoughts at the sound of Jin’s demanding voice and rushed apology. This causes her face to fall into a frown, a hand coming to tug hair behind her ear. Eun-ji knew it should not bother her, however, it kind of stung that he ordered her. None-the-less she nodded moving towards the paint cabinet, putting out a box full of colorful Jin-ah friendly paint bottles. “here you go.” Her voice was low as she walks over, settling down next to their daughter once she crossed the room. “Theres many colors in here, so you can take your pick Jin-ah.” A soft, yet slightly saddened, smile graces her features as she begins to dig through the bottles, eyes not once looking towards her partner. 

A hand of hers clutched onto the papers in her hand tightly, twisting them into a roll, she would kick herself for that water when she went to use them. Honestly - Song Eun-ji, the senior news anchor and self-made businesswoman had absolutely nothing to say. Which in turn prolonged her episode slightly. Her heart was thudding as she licked her lips - deciding on her first words carefully. “You weren’t paying attention to that were you?” her voice was low, labored breathing making it slightly weaker in his moment than she usually addressed the male. In this moment she realized she was still on the ground, her creme color suit getting dirty - this caused her to quickly stand up and dust herself off with a small scoff. “You didn’t see anything, you understand?” Her voice grew with annoyance and cold nature hoping that feel would prevent him from running his mouth. 

          The sudden outburst of the unison of voices catches him off guard, although his reaction did not compensate for the slight surprise he experienced. eyes widen, and brows raised surprised, as jinah dived into his embrace. he swoops her up, throwing her over his shoulder as she struggles to fight back, giggles leaving her before he lowered her down again. his eyes fall to the artwork that he had piled up prior, a small smile tugs at his corners.  ❝ yeah, i was so scared i almost fainted. ❞ hands raise to tickle at his daughter’s sides, as felt eunji kiss at his cheek. he turns to look at the pastels on the floor, triggering another smile,  ❝ i could get you some, although i wouldn’t know which kind. i might just buy every kind. ❞ he shrugs slightly, turning back to face her, hands move to gently grab at her hands, as he pushes himself off from his kneeling position, her hands still in his.  ❝ did you work today? how was work? ❞

She watched with loving eyes as her family laughed, enjoying the cheerful aura they produced. A soft hum leaves lips, a gentle laugh of her own following at Jin’s comment. It always amazed her how good he was with Jin-ah, it was one of the reasons she loved him so much. Without a doubt he was a great father. His questions pulled her out of her mini daze, only to have her shake her head. “You don’t have to buy them for me. I can order some later today - maybe a couple sets wouldn’t hurt. “ A small laugh follows her statement as she thinks of how often she goes through her art supplies “I have to get a decent order this month - it sounds like the local Art Association will be painting decorations and running an art class at the festival coming up. Even though I can’t work it dude to my personal schedules I was going to donate some supplies.” A gentle hand squeeze was given, as she uses the other to bring a laughing Jin-ah back into her arms, pressing a gentle kiss to their daughter’s forehead before letting the squirming child go. “I did work, but not for long I wasn’t feeling to good - after I finished the morning to mid-afternoon reports I picked up Jin-ah and came home We’ve been having a little time for us.” Her smile grows, as she gently tugs him closer to her wrapping her arms fully around him in a hug when he gets close enough. “Now I guess we can have some family time, hmm?”

Eun-ji does not know where she wants to end up except happy - whatever that means. She would love to go back to her passion, which is Art. However, she just wants to make the best possible future for her child, meaning if that requires her to do something else so be it. Where she wants to be in the end is looking back and seeing she did everything in her power to make sure her family was taken care of to the fullest. Though there are small things she would like to accomplish, like creating healthy relationships, its nothing too serious that will end up changing her total life plan.
