Me and my co-artist are both disabled- it's one of the reasons why we haven't posted much about the comic we're working on, but it's still not enough to make us want to use AI. It's not about ease of use, it's about the fact that AI is destroying everything from individual jobs by stealing them to whole communities because of pollution. It's not innovation when it costs so much more than it's worth to get mediocre results that have no substance to them.

Inktober day 11: Snack- featuring a type of demon from our comics. They're a type of Possuary, which is an entity or spirit that causes orbs in pictures and videos. These little guys in particular are demonic (not all are) and they don't enjoy being held.

There's this trend of works that start off by establishing that they're set in 2019 so they don't have to figure out how COVID would impact the plot, and movies set in the recent past so they can write around including cell phones, and that seems uniquely modern, but then you watch a silent movie from the 1920s where a soldier character very pointedly notes that the story takes place in 1911 so you don't have to think about WWI and you realize writers wanting to avoid recent events is eternal
We set the comic in 2019 because that's when we started writing.
It's also set in 2019 because we need the characters to fight some demons, not distract themselves with plague jokes.
